Essie “Plumberry” – Review

Hi readers!

Shoppers Drug Mart had a buy-one-get-one-free event between 6pm and 9pm last night. I went, I saw, I bought! πŸ™‚ I left with 14 bottles, which included my very first Essie polishes!

I’ve been wanting to do my nails since Monday night, but I’ve just been too busy. After last night’s purchases they were definitely getting done! I wanted to do more Valentine’s nail art, but it was too close to bed for that so I went with a colour that fits the theme: Essie in Plumberry.

This colour is a crelly (a mix between a cream and a jelly). This is 2 coats with Nubar Diamont top coat.

I was surprised at how small the brush is. It applies well, but I find you have to do a few more strokes to get an even coat.

That being said, I still like this polish. The colour is really nice.

What do you think? Is this your kind of colour?

  • Plumberry is so pretty and your swatches look great!
The sale at Shoppers sounds incredible! I'm kinda bummed that my Shoppers didn't have that sale or maybe I just missed it πŸ˜›

    • Thank you! πŸ˜€
The sale was not a store-advertised sale, it was a coupon I received by email. You can sign up on the Shoppers site, it's in the upper right corner. Get notified of all their special deals and stuff. πŸ™‚

  • Chantal, I always love your posts! Really nice photos and always so helpful – I too find the Essie brush a little harder to work with. I think you and I have more nail surface than the brush can handle, haha. Some of my girlfriends with smaller nails love Essie's brush though. The colour looks so great though; thanks again on the heads up with the Shoppers sale! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ Looking forward to the swatches of the rest of your haul!

  • Hi Chantal, welcome to the blogging world. You are doing a great job! Love your nails and your polishing skills.

I love that Essie shade very pretty πŸ™‚
