Product Reviews from January’s GLOSSYBOX Canada Part 3 (BeautySoClean Cosmetic Sanitizing Wipes, Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme & WELLA Professionals Brilliance Leave-in Mousse)

Hi readers!

Today I have my final reviews on the products from January’s GLOSSYBOX Canada: BeautySoClean Cosmetic Sanitizing Wipes, Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme and WELLA Professionals Brilliance Leave-in Mousse.

BeautySoClean Cosmetic Sanitizing Wipes

These wipes “remove bacteria and germs on lip-gloss, lipstick, lipgloss in a pot/tub, eye pencils, lip pencils and mascara wands.

It’s kind of hard to say if these work or not unless you have a lab in your basement to analyze your makeup, so we’ll just have to take their word that it does what they claim it does.

Since I don’t really wear makeup I think I will use these on my nail tools to give them a quick clean between use.

These wipes sell for $20 (CAD) for 2 boxes (48 wipes).

Will I be buying more of these wipes?  No, I don’t feel like it’s something that I need.

Find out more about these sanitizing wipes on the BeautySoClean Web site.

Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme

This is described as “a lip plumper for immediate satisfaction and long-term results” and “lips appear full and pouty from your very first application and plumper overall, overtime.

It takes about a minute after putting it on before you feel this product working.  The feeling is a mix between tingling and pins and needles, but it’s not too strong.

The feeling lasts for about 5 minutes.  I waited until then to go look in the mirror and when I saw my lips I thought “holy guacamole my lips are red!”.  Okay, so guacamole wasn’t the exact word that popped into mind.  😉

The tingling feeling kinda lingers on for a while after that initial 5 minutes, but it’s very subtle.

Here is a before and after comparison:

As you can see in the after picture my lips appear fuller and redder.

This product is also a clear lip gloss.  It is not as sticky as MAC’s lipglass, but it is a bit more sticky than lipbalm.  (Since I don’t wear much makeup, MAC lipglass is the only thing I can compare it to for now.)

I’ve only used this product a few times so I can’t speak about the “overtime” aspect.

Will I buy this product?  Honestly, I don’t know.  The plumping effect is neat, I’ve never tried anything like this before.  What I really like though is how nice and flush my lips are, and the clear lip gloss just adds that little extra oomph.  I think what really turns me off is the price.

This product retails for $39 (CAD) for 0.2 oz at Sephora.

WELLA Professionals Brilliance Leave-in Mousse

This mousse is described as a “lightweight conditioning mousse especially formulated for colour treated hair.”  I don’t colour my hair, but I have naturally wavy/curly hair so I use curl defining/enhancing products.

This mousse has a great smell; it smells light and fresh.  The texture sure is lightweight though, it feels like I have nothing in my hair.

Below I included comparison pictures of my hair with no product, with this WELLA mousse, and my regular product Tigi Catwalk Curlesque Curls Rock Amplifier.

As you can see the mousse adds a bit of curls and volume, but it’s mostly at the ends.  I find my hair is just all over the place and poofy.  It’s not volume I’m looking for, it’s curl definition and that’s exactly what my Curls Rock does, and it’s from root to tip, I love it!

How do I do my hair?  I just put the product in my hair, flip my head upside down and dry it at high speed.  That’s it!  🙂

Will I be buying this product?  No, it’s too light for me.

This mousse sells for $17.99 (CAD) for 190g (price may vary by location/salon).

Do you use any of these products, or anything similar?
