Product Reviews from February’s GLOSSYBOX Canada Part 1 (Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips, Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment & Anatomicals You Need a Blooming Shower! Rose and Jasmine Body Cleanser)

Hi readers!

Today I have part 1 of 2 of my reviews from February’s GLOSSYBOX Canada.

$ All prices are in Canadian dollars. $

Bioré Deep Cleansing Pore Strips – Ultra

These pore strips, enriched with invigorating tea tree oil and witch hazel, lock onto and remove deep-down dirt.

I already use Bioré pore strips, but these are with tea tree oil and witch hazel, and that is new to me. It gives them a nice smell which I find soothing.

I find they work as well as the regular ones.

Will I buy this again? I already use them so yes. Well I didn’t use these specifically, but I liked the smell so yes I will.

These are sold at $9.99 for a pack of 6.

Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment

A weightless, therapeutic treatment for all hair types that adds moisture and nutrients for shine and increased manageability, while providing UV protection.

It’s a bit hard to describe the smell of this product. I find it’s a mixture of sweet, spicy and musky – so kind of manly. When I asked my husband what he thinks it smells like he said “vanilla”. So we both agree that it smells sweet, but that’s it, hehe!

I don’t really notice any difference with my hair when I use this product, but I don’t know if it’s a product that works instantly or takes a few weeks. I like to think that my hair is healthy so I’m not sure if I would see any difference, but I still like to use products that helps it stay healthy.

Since I find it smells manly I only use this on days when I know I don’t need to go out.

Will I buy this product? No, because of the smell.

This product retails at $13.50 for 30ml.

Anatomicals You Need a Blooming Shower! Rose and Jasmine Body Cleanser

This rose and jasmine body cleanser makes every shower a flower-power experience.

This cleanser has a jellow-y texture, if that makes any sense. When you squeeze the bottle, it looks like light pink jellow is coming out of it.

I’m not much into floral scents, but I don’t find the smell overwhelming, it’s okay.

I find you need a lot of this product to get a good lather.

This cleanser leaves my skin feeling tight. I don’t like cleansers that do that, but if you don’t like moisturizing cleansers then you wouldn’t have any issues with this one.

Will I buy this product? No, it’s not for me.

This product retails for $3 (CAD) for 150ml.

Have you tried any of these products?

  • I'll definitely check out those Biore strips one day. I've been meaning to try them since my pores are terribad in that area. 🙁 I do love my tea tree oil.

    • They kind of pinch a bit when you remove them, but it kinda feels good afterwards. Yeah, I'm weird, lol!
