Product Reviews from February’s GLOSSYBOX Canada Part 2 (Elite Models Intensity Eye Pencil, Essence Quattro Eyeshadow & Crabtree & Evelyn Tarocco Orange Eucalyptus & Sage Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy)

Hi readers!

Today I have part 2 of 2 of my reviews for February’s GLOSSYBOX Canada… about time! :p

$ All prices are in Canadian dollars. $

Elite Models Intensity Eye Pencil

This water-proof, extremely long-lasting eye pencil has an ultra soft and precision tip.

This is the colour Secret Grey 02. It has some silver glitters in it, I really like it.

I was hoping to have the chance to wear this eye pencil for a day to see if it’s oil proof as well. Products that are waterproof aren’t always oil proof and I usually end up with raccoon eyes anyway. I normally test makeup on days I stay in so I just haven’t had the chance with this one yet. Once I do I’ll write up a short post to update you on it.

Will I buy this product? I’ll have a better answer once I do the day wear test. But I don’t really use eye pencils so this one will last me for a while.

This eye pencil retails for $14.99.

Essence Quattro Eyeshadow

Take your look from office-chic to evening-ready with four complimentary colours.

The colours don’t have individual names, they come as a pack. This is set 02 chic-ify.

I find the texture of these to be on the soft side. When I put my brush in them it seems that they break off easily.

These shadows are quite sheer. On my arm in the picture below, the peachy shadow is the first one (to the left of the brown swipe), but it’s barely visible.

I applied the peach and brown to my lids but you could barely see them. The pictures didn’t come out very well (I need a better setup for makeup pics) so I decided not to include them in this post. I did wear them for about 10 hours and they did not seem to crease, but that could have been due to the sheerness of the product.

Will I buy this product? I already have another set that I purchased a few months back that is waiting to be tried, we’ll see how that one goes first.

Essence products are exclusive to Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada and these are $3.99.

Crabtree & Evelyn Tarocco Orange Eucalyptus & Sage Ultra-Moisturizing Hand Therapy Sachet

With antioxidant and vitamin C-rich Tarocco Sicilian Red Orange, invigorating eucalyptus, and soothing sage, this ultra-moisturizing hand cream leaves your skin refreshed and lightly scented.

I LOVED this sample! It has a light and fresh citrus smell which I found very pleasant. It was a bit greasy, but really just a bit. Keep in mind that it is ultra-moisturizing. Usually if a hand cream is not greasy I find that my hands feel dry within the hour. This one left my hands feeling nice and soft.

Will I buy this product? YES! There is supposed to be a full size of this product in an upcoming box so I will wait for that first.

This hand cream is $8.00 for 25g.

There was also a single-use sample of Eucerin Hyal-Urea Anti-Wrinkle Day/Night Cream which is for dry and very dry tight facial skin with dry lines and wrinkles, but I have oily skin so I skipped it.

Have you tried any of these?

  • Wow, $15 for an eyeliner! That's so much. I usually only get the no sharpen Prestige eyeliners on sale at London Drugs. I like them a lot. I am too lazy to sharpen my eyeliners and I wear a LOT of eyeliner – to purposely have raccoon eyes! LOL.

    • lol!
      I agree, $15 is a bit much.
Unfortunately the closest London Drugs to here seems to be in Winnipeg at 1,682.49km away, bah! And you can get Sinful Colors there, I'm so jealous!

  • Nice to see in-depth review of the contents of the box, thanks!
