GLOSSYBOX Canada: April 2013

Happy Friday!

And a happy Friday it is for me, my April GLOSSYBOX arrived today, yay!

$ All prices are in Canadian dollars. $

This month, GLOSSYBOX teamed up with Olympic medalist Tracy Little to bring us some of her favourite products that, in her words, “totally melt my heart”. Here they are:

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Lip Blush | FULL SIZE! | 2.5g | $18.70

A moisturizing lip stain that tints your lips with just the right amount of juicy colour and hydration. Free of sulfates, pthalates, triclosan, ammonia, alcohol and any animal by-products.
AGAINST ANIMAL TESTING!

Wow this product is BRIGHT! A bit too much for my liking.

There is no colour name on this product, but after looking it up on the Jelly Pong Pong Web site, I think it’s “cranberry”.

I’ve had it on for about 1.5 hours now and my lips are still nice and moist – and bright! I also don’t feel like I have anything on, it’s not greasy at all. I haven’t had anything to eat or drink though (been concentrated on writing this post and editing photos, tee-hee) so I don’t know how it would last through “action”. ๐Ÿ˜› It does transfer though so careful who you kiss. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Schick Hydro Silk Razor | FULL SIZE! | $10.99 each

The razor that gives back moisture and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth.
DERMATOLOGIST TESTED!

It’s a razor. I get my legs waxed. Nuff said. ๐Ÿ™‚

Boscia Recharging Night Moisture | 15ml sample | regular size: 40ml | $44.00

A concentrated moisturizer that works overnight to repair, strengthen and improves skin’s elasticity and firmness.
PRESERVATIVE-FREE! DERMATOLOGIST TESTED!

I’m not familiar with boscia but I will try this one. However, I have oily skin so I’m not sure I’ll be the best judge as to the effectiveness of this product.

This sample is roughly worth $16.50.

Pop Beauty Glitz Blitz Eyeliner | FULL SIZE! | .27g | $15.00

This smudge-free, glitzy eyeliner has the intensity of a liquid liner but the easy application of a pencil.
WATERPROOF!

This pencil is the type that you twist for it to come out, so you don’t have to sharpen it. It feels a bit dry and hard though, I had to do many passes on my hand to get a decent swatch.

Nice colour. Eye pencils aren’t really my thing, but I’m sure I’ll have some opportunities to wear this one.

Once I get to do a day-wear test I’ll let you know how it does with oily skin. Being that it’s waterproof, will I still get raccoon eyes? We shall see…

Heartland Fragrances | sample size unknown | regular size: 30oz | $10.10

Soaking with herb-infused Natural Epsom Bath Salt will soften skin and relieve tired, achy muscles.

This smells really good, it’s minty and fresh. I’m not big on baths, but I will have to take one so I can try this.

Coupons

There were 3 coupons in this box:

  1. Get one FREE Danone Silhouette Greek yogurt pack with this coupon!
  2. Save $3 off any Schick Hydro Silk refill 4 cartridge or 6 cartridge pack.
  3. Save $3 off any Schick Hydro Silk Disposable razors.

The products add up to a total of $62! I did not include the Epsom salts in this total since I don’t know how much this sample is worth. But if you factor that in, this box is worth over $70, WOW!

Have you tried any of these?

  • I love razors with 5 blades! and the lippie looks cool too

    • Since I get my legs waxed I don't use razors, but I'm sure one of my girlfriends will be able to use it. The lippie feels very nice, I just wish it was a bit more sheer or a different colour.

  • I think the lippie would be way better if it was sheer so you could you use it more frequently. The salts seem cool too! I only take baths once in a blue moon, though. Maybe once every other year or something haha.

    • Sheer lippies are definitely more my style.
I'm the same for baths, about 1 every other year or so, lol!

  • The Bosica cream is amazing, but when I went to buy it from the Bosica website they don't ship to Canada. I can't find it anywhere in Canada.

    • I actually just tried it last night. It's meant for normal to dry skin and I have combination so I found it a bit heavy for me, but I did not get any breakouts so I will keep using the sample.
In Canada they are available at Sephora, do you have one near you? They do ship to Canada too so you could check on Sephora.ca.
