I’m excited to share with you my very first Rainbow Honey polish! My fellow Canadian blogger Melissa from Claw of Cthulhu first sold me on Rainbow Honey with her beautiful swatches, and when Meghan from Will Paint Nails For Food, another Canadian blogger, told me about their March deal ($50 orders ship free and get a free special edition polish) I was sold! If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen my order already.
So I decided to start with the Sweet Talk collection, and here is the namesake from that collection, Sweet Talk.
FYI – This post is picture heavy.
First let’s take a look at the adorable packaging that this collection comes in. If you buy the Sweet Talk collection as a set, it comes it its own box.
And the polishes have their own boxes too.
And I love how the top of the boxes have stickers for the polishes. If you keep the boxes in a drawer you don’t have to take them out to see which one’s which.
It’s added touches like this that make me love a brand, and part of the reason why I was so excited to share this post with you today.
How about some polish now? 🙂
This is a white jelly base with small and medium hex glitters in purple, red and pastel turquoise. It also has some micro iridescent chips (which you can see a bit in the macro shot).
The formula on this one is awesome. I applied 3 coats, but given that’s it a jelly it’s to be expected. If the polish was opaque you would not be able to see the glitters from the underlying coats so some sheerness is required in these types of polishes.
The brush is the regular size brush which works great.
On top of the 3 coats of this polish, I added 2 coats of Gelous and 1 coat of Nubar Diamont top coat to give it a nice smooth finish. Glitter polishes are always so hungry for top coat.
My pictures don’t do this polish justice, it’s sooo beautiful in person, I’m in love! I can’t wait to try the other ones.
