My BB Cream trials continue with Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream All Day Strong SPF 30 PA++.
I wasn’t sure if I should review this product or not because it has been replaced with a new version. I decided to give it a shot anyway since you can still buy it online – I just don’t know for how long.
This BB Cream comes in 3 types: #1 Sheer Silky Skin (for oily skin), #2 Sheer Glowing Skin (for dry skin) and #3 Sheer Flawless Skin (for… I don’t know!). I ordered #1 since I have combination skin.
It looks dark on my hand, but once you put it on and spread it around it oxidizes and lightens up. Here I have it on half of my face. See, not dark.
The difference is not dramatic, but you can tell which side has the BB Cream since the redness is down and my skin appears more even.
And now with a full application.
The colour matches my neck and shoulders pretty well. The redness is almost all gone but still peeks through on my cheeks a bit which I like because I don’t need to wear blush. I was quite happy with the result when I first put it on.
I would say this BB Cream has medium to full coverage.
This product is rather odourless.
After all of that has been said, I have a few cons about this BB Cream:
- When I went in another washroom where we have different types of light bulbs (more yellow than blue) my face had a very white reflection which I did not like, it was almost like my face was 2 shades lighter;
- Once my face got oily the BB Cream seemed to take on this light greyish tone which made me look sick.
Unfortunately I was not able to capture those 2 issues on camera.
This might work better on someone with dry skin, but if you have dry skin you might try #2 instead.
I bought this 5 pack sample on ebay for $3.00 (CAD).
As I mentioned at the top of my post this product has been replaced with a new version. I will try to get samples of this new version to try it out, it might work differently. That’s the beauty of samples!
Speaking of samples and beauty, aren’t these samples good looking and don’t they make you want to try them??? 🙂
The full size version of this product has the same design and colours as the samples. Etude House has really nice packaging for their products.
Have you tried Etude House BB Creams? Which ones and what are your thoughts?
