Deborah Lippmann ”New Flesh” – Swatches and Review

Hi readers!

Today’s nail polish is from Deborah Lippmann‘s Forsaken collection created for True Blood and is called New Flesh.

Did you have to look twice to make sure I was really wearing something? 🙂 This is the base that I used in my True Blood Nail Art.

So, we lost power tonight… 4 times!!! We had 2 brownouts (lasts 2-3 seconds – just enough to turn off and reset everything), and 2 outages of approximately 5 minutes. I’m finishing up this post quickly so I can post it and shut down my computer for the night.

This polish is part of a set of 3 minis called Bad Things.

The brush is the typical round brush.

This colour is described as a clean nude. It is a bit sheer so I used 3 coats for this opacity, but if you have long nails you might still see some visible nail line with 3 coats.

It is self-leveling and has a nice shiny finish. I have no top coat in these pictures.

This is not a colour I would wear by itself, but it’s great as a base for nail art when I want to pretend I have nude nails.

My husband bought me this for my birthday last year from the HBO Store (yes they ship to Canada!).
UPDATE: This product is no longer available.

Do you have a nude that almost matches your skin tone like this one does for me?
