Fresh Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Trio – Review

Hey everyone!

I bought this Fresh Sugar Kisses Mini Lip Trio from Sephora back in November. I was hoping to have the review done before Christmas because it would have been a great gift, but things don’t always go as planned. So here it finally is! 🙂

I initially thought I would do one post per colour, but since the formula is the same for all three I would’ve been repeating myself in all 3 posts so I decided to do one big post with them all.

These came in a nice little box.

They are tinted lip treatments with an SPF of 15 – I call them tinted lip balms cause that’s what they feel like. 🙂

The caps screw on so it’s harder for them to come loose if you carry these in your purse, which I like.

All three feel like a rich and moisturizing lip balm and they feel great on the lips! They are very creamy. They make my lips feel soft and smooth, and once they wear off my lips are not crying for more so they don’t dry out your lips like other lip products can do.

Lasting Power

Since these are more like lip balms they last about 2-3 hours depending on how much you eat/drink (I drink lots of water).

All three smell the same and they smell great! It’s kinda lemony with a hint of spicy.

The Colours

Sugar Petal

This colour is a dusty rose/pink that leans towards brown – a neutral colour. I have to admit that this is not what I expected this colour to be like – I thought it would be more pinkish.

Turns out that this colour is pretty close to my natural colour – it just umps it up a notch. Here’s a half and half picture to show you.

This colour is great for days when I want a natural look or when I’m not wearing any makeup.

Sugar Cherry

This colour is a bright red with kind of blue undertones. When I first applied it I found it too bright for me, but my thoughts on it have changed and this is the one I use the most out of the 3!

Here’s a half and half comparison so you can see how bright it is compared to my natural colour.

I had to apply this colour with a lip brush since it’s so bright – I wanted to make sure I had clean lines.

When I wear this colour for work I don’t use a lip brush though; I only do 1-2 swipes on my lower lip then I rub my lips together to spread it around and it adds a hint of colour that is just perfect! This is one of my go-to products this winter, I love it!

Sugar Honey

This colour is a neutral shade with a tiny hint of red in it.

Once again, a half and half followed by a full application. 🙂 This colour is also close to my natural colour, but more on the nude/brown side.

This colour I don’t wear because it does lean more towards brown than the other 2 shades and it’s not a colour I’m too fond of on my lips.

These minis are 0.08 oz each. The colours are all available at Sephora in full size (0.15 oz.) for $26 (CAD) each, but this trio is no longer available as a set.

I really love these lip treatments, they feel great! And I find these minis the perfect size and will definitely be keeping my eyes open for more mini sets like this.

Have you tried the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments?
