This polish is the one I received in my December Ipsy Glam Bag and it’s called Bzzz Bzzz by Starrily.
When I first saw this polish I thought it was gold glitters in a black jelly base and the effect I imagined it would have was amazing! Then I took a closer look and realized it was yellow/gold AND black glitters in a CLEAR base. Once I noticed that I had no clue what to do with this polish… until this past weekend when it just hit me to try it over grey. So here is the result!
As you can see this bottle is quite small; it’s a sample containing 0.17oz of polish. The brush it the typical round brush and it works well.
This polish is a mix of yellow/gold and black glitters of various shapes and sizes in a clear base. It seems packed with glitters, but I don’t think you could layer this enough by itself to become opaque. Your nails would be quite thick if you tried to achieve that!
However, as a glitter topper I find I got just the right amount of glitters with just one coat. I did do many passes of the brush over each nail because the more you swipe the brush, all the glitters that are stuck on the brush eventually stick to your nail.
I used Manglaze “Fuggen Ugly” as my base and I think it was the perfect undie for this glitter mix.
Here’s a macro shot so you can see the various glitter shapes and sizes better.
And here’s a macro of the bottle to show you more glitters, aaand cause I think it’s a cool shot. :p
For a polish that I didn’t know what to do with it, I’m very happy with how these turned out! From afar my nails look “simple”, but a closer look reveals a little party going on. 🙂
This is not a polish I would’ve picked up if I saw it at the store, but I’m happy to have it in my collection.
What do you think? Is this something you would buy?
