Balanced Guru ”Balm Me Up” Organic Sweet Cocoa & Tangy Body Balm – Review

Hi readers!

I tried the body balm that I received in my January Ipsy Glam Bag and today I’m sharing my thoughts on it.

Treat your whole body with a smooth and buttery body balm. Enriched with healthy butters and an invigorating blend of essential oils that will wake up your senses and moisturize your skin without leaving it greasy or tacky. Make sure you work it well into elbows, knees and even your feet, they’ll thank you later!

Find out how it worked for me…

Texture/Feeling

This sure looks odd when you look at it in the container, it looks grainy. It melts within seconds once you rub it between your hands though.

They say that this will moisturize your skin without leaving it greasy or tacky, but unfortunately for me it left my skin very greasy. I only used it on my pregnant belly because I tend to go with heavy creams there to help with the stretching. But I feel that my shirt absorbed half of it. It did leave my skin nice and smooth though.

Scent

I agree with Sarah from Workaday Ramblings about the scent: she said that it smells like lemongrass. Also she said that hers smelled like this for the top half and the bottom half was more citrusy. I have not reached the middle of mine yet so I don’t know if it will smell the same.

I don’t mind the smell of lemongrass, but I find this one a bit too strong. And it lingers too. The next day my shirt still smelled.

Bottom Line

This product hydrates really well, but it’s greasy and I’m not a fan of the smell so this one was a miss for me.

Have you tried this body balm?
