Essence ”I’m Backstage” – Swatches and Review

Hey everyone!

Today I have a beautiful spring polish to show you, even though we’re supposed to get 5cm of snow tonight! This colour is from Essence‘s Beauty Beats trend edition and it’s called I’m Backstage.

The brush is Essence‘s typical brush which I love because it’s wide and thin.

The formula on this polish is a bit thin and streaky so I went medium-thick with my second coat so I wouldn’t have to put a third one. The polish is self-levelling though which is nice. I then finished it off with a layer of top coat.

There is a slight shimmer to this polish that you can see in the bottle, but once on the nails it disappears.

I absolutely LOVE this colour and I did not want to take it off! This is definitely my sweet spot, and one of the shades I own the most of.

The Beauty Beats trend edition started coming out in Canada at the end of December I believe, but I was able to get the full collection at the beginning of March, and I still see these polishes in clearance bins at Shoppers so you still have time to grab this one if you don’t have it yet.

Did you get this polish? Are you drawn to this colour like I am?

– Chantal 🙂
