Today’s nail polish is from Essence‘s Metal Glam trend edition that came out in January (in Canada). This colour is called Petal to the Metal and these polishes are supposed to have a liquid metal effect.
I’ve always loved Essence‘s brushes; they’re wide and thin.
This colour is a beautiful pastel lavender. The formula was great to work with and reached full opacity with 2 coats, but you could probably get away with 1 coat if you went thicker. I then finished it off with 1 layer of top coat.
Like any metallic polish this one applied streaky, but the streaks went away once dry. You can see them a bit in these pictures because they’re all up close, but in real life you can’t see them.
Even though I said earlier that this colour is a beautiful pastel lavender, I don’t find that it goes well with my skin tone. However, I can see this polish being awesome for stamping so I will definitely try that in the future. Metallic polishes are usually good for stamping.
Did you get any polishes from this collection? I know they are still available at my local Shoppers Drug Mart.
