Good evening everyone!
How’s your week starting off? Mine is starting on a happy note because my Ipsy Glam Bag arrived today, yay! 🙂
The theme this month is Fresh Picks: It’s a month of crisp air, vibrant flowers, and fresh Glam Bag products! Getting your beauty to bloom all month long will be as easy as lying in the warm grass and basking in the sunshine.
Let’s find out what I got…
$ Note: all prices are in US dollars. $
The bag this month feels very eco-friendly with that leafy design on what feels like a soft burlap bag, or some sort of fabric like that.
Balanced Guru – No Frizz Organic Sesame and Lemongrass Balancing Oil | 0.5 oz travel size | $13
Balance frizzy hair without the need to weigh it down with silicones. The Balanced Guru No Frizz Organic Sesame and Lemongrass Balancing Oil controls fly aways with a blend of Sesame, Grapeseed, Jojoba and Tamanu Oils. Show your hair who’s boss even in humid and tropical weather. By the way, you will also get incredible shine and manageability.
I took a quick whiff of this and it definitely smells like lemongrass. I don’t mind the scent, but I don’t know how I’ll feel having it in my hair. I guess I’ll have to try it and see.
Hang Ten – Classic Sport SPF 50 | 1 oz sample | 6 oz/$12.99
Protect and nourish your skin with our clear, lightweight, naturally scented sunscreen. Provides maximum water resistance and full body coverage against harmful UVA/UVB rays.
– Oxybenzone Free, Paraben Free, Retinyl Palmitate Free, Non-Greasy, Non-Nano, Synthetic Fragrance Free
With summer just around the corner this product will definitely get used. I like all of the “non” ingredients it has.
Hey Honey – Take It Off! Exfoliating Honey Peel Off Mask | 10 ml sample | 50 ml/$35
Instantly renews skin, leaving it refreshed and clean after only a few minutes. This gel mask helps promote a smooth and clear complexion for a post facial feeling. Take It Off! is quick and easy to use, so exfoliating you can feel beautifully refreshed, radiant and ready to go in just a few minutes.
I’m not a fan of peel off masks because it hurts to remove them where I have peach fuzz around my face. I’ll still give this a try though, just to see how it is.
Pacifica – Mineral Eyeshadow Duo in #2 (Moonbeam & Unicorn) | Ipsy Exclusive! | Guestimating at around $10
The Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo are coconut infused mineral eye shadows that are a perfect addition to any makeup collection. Packaged in a beautiful travel ready recyclable container, these exclusive duos are customized just for ipsy! These shades can be found in the Pacifica Mystical and Charmed Palette. Smooth application with gorgeous color pay-off.
Moonbeam & Unicorn, seriously? LOVE IT! I’m really glad I got this colour set over the other one (nude & light brown) because I don’t have may shades like these. I can’t wait to try them out!
Pur~lisse – pur~moist hydra balance moisturizer | 0.5 oz sample | 1.7 oz/$55
Achieve beautiful balance with the Pur-lisse pur~moist hydra balance moisturizer. Gently smooth over face day or night after cleansing and toning. Glides on like a gel and hydrates like a cream and never greasy. Hydates your skin to create a perfect canvas for makeup application. Dries down to a healthy glow.
I’ll be needing a new daytime moisturiser soon so this will be tried next.
The total of this bag comes to approximately $48, which is quite nice!
I’m really happy about the Pacifica eyeshadow duo, but I’m quite meh about the rest of the products. I like most of them, but I find getting them all at the same time just feels a bit underwhelming. I would’ve preferred maybe 2-3 makeup products instead of all the hair/face/body care products.
