The Body Shop released some new products this spring and today I’m sharing one of them with you. Say hello to the Pink Grapefruit Body Sorbet. Doesn’t the name just sound summery? Let’s take a look…
This product is described as:
Scoop an industry first with this cool body moisturiser, infused with energising pink grapefruit scent! Our breakthrough sorbet texture instantly melts into skin for a frosty burst of fresh moisture.
- Light and fast-absorbing
- Leaves body instantly moisturised
- Up to 24 hours of hydration
This definitely smells like pink grapefruit! The scent is strong when you initially put it on, in the sense that it fills up the room. But once on your skin it fades very quickly. I’m not a big fan of pink grapefruit – I don’t hate it, but it’s just not a scent I go for. And I find when a scent is not your favourite you seem to notice it more. However, once I put this one on and left the room I did not notice it at all for the rest of the day. I even sniffed my arms about 4 hours later and there was no grapefruit scent to be found.
This product definitely has an interesting texture; it’s unlike anything I’ve felt before. It’s quite different and I’m just not quite sure how to describe it. It feels more like a gel than a lotion, but at the same time it’s not quite a gel.
It feels cool and refreshing when you put it on, and it absorbs well too, but not too fast so you have time to spread it over your body. There is no greasy feeling left afterwards whatsoever.
I’ve had really dry skin with my pregnancy and this product left my skin feeling nice and soft. It was not strong enough to smooth out the dry patch on my elbow (not many products are), but for the rest of my body it worked great.
This is definitely a great product for the summer with its cooling sensation on application and its fruity scent. It’s also worth checking out just for its unique texture.
You can purchase this product for $15 CAD at The Body Shop. It’s available in other scents too: Satsuma, Mango, Strawberry, and Moringa.
Have you tried this new product? What kind of scents do you like in the summertime?
– Chantal 🙂
