The Body Shop Colour Crush Shine Lip Colour in Sunset Romance – Review

Hey everyone!

* Product provided for review. *

Today I’m showing you one of the new items that The Body Shop came out with this spring: this is their Colour Crush Shine Lip Colour in the colour Sunset Romance.

This irresistible lipstick gives a sheer wash of colour with a sorbet-fresh shine. Each moisture-rich lipstick is infused with a delicate rose fragrance.

These lipsticks are apparently infused with a rose fragrance, but I really don’t detect any smell at all.

I find this product applies nice and smooth and feels moisturising.

The colour is only indicated on the packaging. Once you remove it the colour name is nowhere to be found on the product. On the bottom it only says Colour Crush – there is no colour name. I guess the sticker is colour coordinated though – but it’s still not a colour name.

I’m not going to lie, I was scared when I first saw the colour because I’m not used to orange-y types of shades. But once I swatched it on my hand and saw how sheer it was my fears went away.

Here’s a half-and-half to show you how the colour performs against my natural lip colour. You can’t even tell that it’s an orange-y shade.

And the full application. I really like how it adds a hint of colour – it’s just enhancing my natural colour. It’s like “my lips but better”.

Staying Power

I can’t say much about how long this product actually lasts though. My pregnancy has dehydrated me and I drink water by the gallon. I seriously take a sip every 5-10 minutes, sometimes more. So no product lasts really long on my lips.

Final Thoughts

This lipstick feels like a tinted mosituriser. I really like the hint of colour it adds to my lips and since it is sheer you don’t need a mirror to apply it.

These retail for $13 CAD at The Body Shop.

Have you tried these new Colour Crush Shine Lipsticks?
