essence ”all about candies” eyeshadow palette and silky touch blush in ”80 autumn peach” – review

Hey everyone!

* Products provided for review. *

Today I’m doing a more in-depth review about the essence eyeshadow palette and blush that I used in my essence of Fall Beauty FOTD.

eyeshadow palette

The eyeshadow palette that I received is called all about candies and has 6 beautiful pastel colours.

The colours are very light and you definitely need a primer to make them pop.

In my FOTD I actually forgot to use a primer, but I did have BB Cream on so it still helped a bit. I used 5 of the 6 colours in the palette. I did a gradient on the lids that goes from green, blue, purple and finally pink. The green, blue and purple are blended on my lids and the pink is used in the inner corner. I also used the yellow under my brows.

I really like the colours in this palette and it’s perfect for those who prefer a hint of colour as opposed to fully pigmented colours.

silky touch blush

The blush that I received is in the shade 80 autumn peach. It’s a beautiful peachy colour that I think would work all year round. I only applied it lightly in my FOTD and it gave me a nice hint of colour.

This blush can be applied lightly or medium-ish, but it’s not pigmented enough to do very defined lines (for whatever reason you’d want that). I think the lightness of the colour has to do with that a bit as well. That being said, it’s perfect for me because on my cheeks I prefer hint of colours – just a light flush.

Final Thoughts

I’ve always been a big fan of essence and I was not disappointed with these 2 products. They will definitely be put into my makeup rotation.

These products are new fall items that came out this August. The eyeshadow palette retails for $4.99 CAD and the blush for… I don’t know, gah! But it’s definitely under $5.

Are these colours that you would wear?
