I previously reviewed the Amie Spring Clean Deep Cleansing Mask and now I’m back with a few more products from Amie.
Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash
For really clean skin that feels soft and smooth.
This is a soap-free cleanser. I haven’t tried many soap-free cleansers before, but I was never a fan so I didn’t have high hopes for this one. I’ve only tried gel ones before though, and this one is a cream cleanser so it feels better to me.
The instructions say to smooth over wet face and massage into skin, but I find it works better if you massage it first (on dry skin) then add water. I find the water thins it out too much and I can’t get a good amount all over my face.
Once it’s rinsed off it leaves my face feeling fresh and hydrated (but I still need a moisturiser). This cleanser is great for people with dry or sensitive skin because it doesn’t leave your skin feeling tight like other cleansers can.
It smells a bit strong though, good, but strong. It’s a pleasant smell, but I’m not quite sure how to describe it. Floral-ish maybe? Anywho, if you have any sensitivities to scented products I would stay away from this one.
This cleanser is a light pink colour, like the packaging.
I’m still not the biggest fan of soap-free cleansers, but this one is definitely better than the gel ones I’ve tried before and I will finish it (as opposed to the Spectro Jel that I tossed after using it 4-5 times).
Morning Dew Matte-Finish Moisturiser
For the softest, dewiest shine free skin.
This moisturiser absorbs very well into the skin and it does leave a matte-finish. It’s not quite hydrating enough for me though, even though my face is reverting back to its pre-pregnancy state of combination/oily (bummer). So I use a serum underneath, but that’s ok because I like using serums.
Once again the scent a bit on the strong side, so it might be too much for people with sensitivities. I find it’s a pleasant smell and it doesn’t linger.
This moisturiser is a pale yellow, like the packaging.
Morning Light Hydrating Daily Moisturiser
Perfect for skin that is prone to dryness and in need of gentle, effective nourishment, this lightweight rose-scented lotion is easy to apply and absorbed quickly, giving skin long-lasting hydration.
This moisturiser absorbs well into the skin and leaves it feeling soft, but is a bit heavy for me now that my skin is not dry anymore. I’ve been using it at night and it will be great for the dry winter air.
This moisturiser has a bit of a floral scent to it, but a good one (I’m not usually a fan of floral scents). And like the other products the scent is a bit strong, but it does not linger.
This product, unlike the other ones, is not the same colour as the packaging – this one is white.
I’m really happy that I got to try these products. Two of them are more for dry skin so I will not be buying them, but I really like the matte-finish moisturiser.
I also want to try other products from this brand – actually I want to try all the products that I did not receive! 🙂
These are available exclusively at select Shoppers Drug Mart and nothing is more than $12. How great is that?!?
Will you be trying products from Amie?
