The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Products Review

Hey hey!

* Products provided for review. *

The Body Shop recently released a new collection called Fuji Green Tea, and being the tea lover that I am I was so excited to receive these products to try out! Let’s take a look…

Scent

These products really do smell like green tea, with a side of floral. It’s like having your cup of tea in the garden, but in the shower! The floral accent is not overpowering over the green tea scent though so men could enjoy this fragrance as well.

Body Scrub

This body scrub jiggles when you shake it, kind of like jello. It has a similar texture as well and it is not runny (it doesn’t slip between my fingers when I use it).

It has a good scrub to it. It’s not as hard as the Smoky Poppy Poppy Body Scrub – it is a milder scrub, but still does a good job. When I use a scrub I like to feel the scrubbing bits, and I can feel these ones.

Unlike the Poppy Body Scrub, this one does not leave an oily residue behind (which I prefer). So you can wash first then scrub, or just scrub and be done with it.

Body Wash

I really like The Body Shop‘s body washes – at least the ones I’ve tried so far! They don’t leave my skin with that squeaky clean feeling (which I hate cause that makes my skin feel tight and dry). They leave my skin feeling soft and smooth. I still need to hydrate when I come out of the shower, but my skin is not screaming for me to slather it in body lotion (even though I still do). And when I say “they”, this body wash is included in that.

It lathers really well too and leaves a nice subtle green tea scent behind.

For some reason I was expecting this body wash to have a light green tint, but it does not, it’s just clear. I even put some on my white shower wall to be sure, lol!

Body Lotion

I’ve tried a few of The Body Shop body butters before, but never their body lotion so I was happy to receive this one to try out.

This body lotion hydrates my skin really well and it’s perfect for the warmer and humid months of the summer. Especially if you have oily skin like I do – heavy body butters are not my friend in the summertime.

This is another product that I was expecting to have a light green tint, but it is white.

This body lotion also leaves your skin with a nice subtle green tea scent, but it does not linger for very long.

Eau de Cologne

I don’t recall ever trying a perfume from The Body Shop so this is a nice addition to my small perfume collection.

It’s the perfect blend of green tea, bergamot, lemon and mandarin top notes with a floral heart of camellia, jasmine and violet.

This eau de cologne has the same wonderful scent as the rest of the products. However, like the other products, the smell is not strong so it does not last very long – I would say a couple of hours. It does help to layer the products together (body wash + body lotion/butter + eau de cologne). I find my clothes will absorb some of the scent and help give off whiffs during the day, but it is still very faint.

What can I say other than this is another wonderful collection from The Body Shop! I guess my only negative comment would be that the scent doesn’t last very long, but that is not a deal breaker in my books, and I can always reapply the perfume throughout the day.

That being said, this is perfect for those of you who do not like strong scents and want something different than your typical floral or sweet scents.

This collection also has an exfoliating soap, a body sorbet, body butter, bath tea & bath infuser, and some gift sets.

Will you be trying products from The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea collection?
