Are you ready for my guest blogger this month?!? I have the beautiful Nadia from The View Is Beautiful sharing some super fun and pretty nail art for our orange theme. Keep on reading to see what she did…!
Hi everyone! I’m Nadia from The View Is Beautiful here to take over Chantal’s Corner for the day. This month’s theme for the Canadian Beauty Blogger swap was orange, and since Chantal is clearly a fellow nail polish enthusiast I thought I would share a fun, easy nail art design perfect for spring/summer!
It’s such a shame that my camera didn’t quite pick up how shockingly bright these orange tips are in real life, but believe me when I say they aren’t kidding when they call this a neon polish. What did I use to create this look? Just three polishes and something you probably already have in your makeup stash.
For the base I used the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On, which is a great white polish that is opaque in two coats. To create the gradient I first started with thePure Ice polish in Doll Faceand stippled it on the nails with a standard makeup sponge, focusing on the tips first and fading towards the cuticle. I have a full step by step tutorial on this technique on my blog if you’d like more detailed visuals. This peachy shade acts as a transition to blend the base into the bright tips seamlessly. For the bright pop I added the American Apparel Neon Coral polish on the tips and again faded it to blend with the peach underneath.
Seal it with your favourite top coat, and there you have it! Of course you can do this technique with any colours that you want, but the white/neon orange combination sets off a tan like nothing else.
