France Laure Skin Care Products

Hey everyone!

* Products provided for review. *

I have a new-to-me brand to share with you today; this is France Laure (kind of pronounced like “Lore”). It’s always fun discovering new brands, don’t you agree? 🙂

I was contacted by Taylor, Chief Skin Consultant & CEO, and we discussed my skin concerns. From there he curated this package for me. Let’s take a closer look…

CLARIPHASE Flawless Pores Cleansing Gel for oily skin ($51.95)

I was only sent a few foil packets of this cleanser, but I got to use it for almost a week (morning and night) so I can give a mini review on it.

The first thing I have to say is every time I smelled this cleanser, the first whiff I got I always felt that it smelled like a gin & tonic! When I smelled it again I didn’t get that scent, but the first whiff I always got that G&T scent! As far as cleansing goes, it worked well and didn’t dry out my face.

I also had foil packets of the CLARIPHASE Floral Toner for oily skin ($44.95) and the HYDRADERMAL Tutti Frutti Enzymatic Cocktail Exfoliant ($74.95), but I really didn’t get enough use out of them to talk about them, other than the toner smells like a G&T too!

HYDRADERMAL Day Cream for dehydrated skin ($76.95)

I’ve mentioned this before, but I’ll say it again in case you have not seen my post where I talk about this: I have combination skin (skin type), but I also have dehydrated skin (skin condition). I know it may sound odd, but one has nothing to do with the other. That is why I was sent this day cream for dehydrated skin (instead of a cream for combination skin that could possibly dehydrate my skin even more).

This cream has a unique texture that I have not seen before; it doesn’t quite stick to your skin at first, but once you rub it in and it melts it just gets absorbed right away. When I apply my face products I’ll usually put a dot on my forehead, one on each cheek and one on my upper neck then I rub it all in. With this cream I can’t really do that because of the texture; I find it best to rub it between my hands first and then rub it all over my face.

This day cream is really moisturizing and hydrating, and I mean REALLY moisturizing and hydrating! The first time I used it I used a full pump and that was WAY too much for my face. My face felt and looked greasy the entire day. After that I tried different quantities and I found it was best to put a really thin layer, and add a second really thin layer if my first layer was too thin. That way my skin felt great without being greasy.

REBALANCE Night Cream for combination skin ($85.95)

This night cream has the same texture as the day cream so I applied it the same way: rub it in my hands first then apply to my face. This night cream felt really nice and left my face feeling hydrated and plump.

I don’t quite know how to describe the scent, but it smells luxurious – if that makes any sense! I really enjoyed the smell though, it was fresh and almost nutty (but not really, but kind of). I suck at describing scents… can you tell? 😉

I kept the plastic container that was in the box it came in because I like how it holds the little stick in it.

CLARIPHASE Topical Perfection Spot Treatment for oily skin ($48.95)

I applied this to my face after the night cream. For spot treatments I applied it as a paste over my pimple (you could see the brown spots all over my face). For big breakout I just applied this all over (I usually coated my forehead with it). When I did that I didn’t apply it as thick as I did the spot treatments; I applied a thin layer all over.

I did find that my breakouts didn’t get as crazy as usual and they seemed to be more under control.

france laure imagine eye products

I also received some foil packets of their eye care products and these lasted all three weeks of testing because you need so little. I didn’t really like the Imagine Absolute Eye & Lip Make-up Remover Gel ($32.95). It didn’t fully remove my eye make-up (I had to double-cleanse my eyes) and I found it left an oily residue behind. I did like the Imagine Eye & Lip Perfect Serum ($67.95) and the Imagine Eye & Lip More Than Sublime Cream ($67.95) though. I always use the rest of my eye cream on my lips so these products were perfect for me! They left my eyes and lips feeling great and hydrated. I can’t say I noticed an improvement with fine lines and wrinkles, but sometimes those products take some time to really work in that area.

Final Thoughts

Overall I really liked these products, I found that my skin looked and felt great while using them.

You can buy all these products (and more from France Laure) at Tailored Beauty (UPDATE: that site is no longer available). They’re Canadian! 😀 And if you’re not sure what products you need, they’ll be more than happy to help you because they want to make sure you get the face care that you need. Taylor is a really nice guy and was a great help in choosing my products.

What do you think?
