I haven’t been showing you a lot of nail polish lately because I have not been doing my nails all that often. I just don’t have much energy lately, and although I have time to do my nails, I just don’t have the time to wait a bit for them to dry before going to bed. Sleep is a must – priorities, ya know. So I just have not been doing my nails. 🙁 However, with gel nail polish once it’s cured, it’s dry. Problem solved! So I was really happy to receive a colour from Bio Seaweed Gel‘s summer Carnival Collection, 267 Snow Cone. Let’s take a look at this beauty…
Had you seen my sneak peek on Instagram?
I have already gone over the process of how I cure and remove gel polish in my previous Bio Seaweed Gel nail polish post so I won’t go over it again.
The formula is a bit thick, but it applies well. The brush is wide and thin just like I love them.
Snow Cone is a beautiful bright blue. I applied two thin layers and NO top coat. Look at that shine!
I kept this polish on for quite a while, let’s see how it held up. Can you guess how long I wore it for? The nail growth should give you an idea.
That picture above is from day fourteen. That’s right, TWO FULL WEEKS of wear and look how good it held up! I have a daughter who just turned two so we play with toys, in sand, in water, and I do house chores, so it’s not like I just sit pretty all the time. The nails on my right hand look as good as what you see above; no chips and minimal tip wear. I’m so impressed with these polishes. This is the only brand of gel polishes I’ve tried so I don’t know how other brands compare, but these are definitely worth investing in.
We’ll be traveling down south this winter for my brother’s wedding and I’ll definitely be gellin’ my nails for the week. With that shine and lasting power I won’t have to worry about my nails at all. I just need to invest in a better LED lamp so I can cut my curing time by 3/4. Isn’t it the Shoppers Optimum super redemption event this weekend? Hmmm, I think I know what I’ll be looking into. 😉
Have you tried a gel polish before? What brand and how did it work out for you?
