Catherine Wayfarer Sunglasses from GlassesShop.com

Hi everyone!

I always wear sunglasses when I’m outside and although I use to always wear the same pair (and only had one pair), I’ve now gotten into the habit of changing them up depending on what I’m wearing. One style I didn’t have yet was a white pair so I was very happy when I got the opportunity to try the Catherine Wayfarer in White/Choc ($25.95 USD) from GlassesShop.com.

GlassesShop.com is an American owned and operated online retailer of eyeglasses. They have a wide selection of eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses (which you can also get without a prescription like I did).

My sunglasses came with a cleaning cloth and this case that I really like a lot.

I love the sunglasses; they actually have a retro vibe that I did not notice online. I do have to mention that they have GUCCI printed on the sides (which you can see a bit below) which is not in their online pictures, plus they don’t even carry GUCCI. I won’t lie, I was taken aback when I saw that because they’re obviously not real.

I really like how they look and, like previously mentioned, the retro vibe that they have. My mother used to have a pair of white sunglasses back in the 80s and these remind me of hers.

I do feel self-conscious wearing them in public though because of the GUCCI print on them. Anyone know how to remove it without damaging the sunglasses?

For now they’re my driving sunglasses – I leave them in my car. They’re easy to slide on and off and block the sun well.

GlassesShop.com makes it easy to shop for eyeglasses online. Get 50% off on eyeglasses and sunglasses with free lenses (sale frames excluded) with code GSHOT50.

I hear a lot if people use nail polish to change up their sunglass arms. I’ve never tried it but you could always buy a pair from the dollar store and try it out first.

    • There’s an idea! I was thinking that maybe acetone might work too, but will definitely try on a cheap pair first.

  • Lovely sunglasses!!! they look amazing on you! Love the case too! great post and Happy New year!

  • Those glasses look awesome on you! It’s hard to know whether or not they’ll suit your face when you shop online. I have a very small head and I’d be so afraid of looking like a bug haha. As a new years resolution I really need to start wearing sunglasses more often… oops.

    Thanks for sharing, Chantal!

  • That is strange about the Gucci aspect. I’ve worked with them in the past and the arms on my pair are blank. Maybe it’s possible that to keep their prices cheap that they take parts from recycled glasses? In this case, the arms of a Gucci pair? You should ask them! Regardless, the white and style looks great on you. 🙂

I considered asking them about the logo, but then never did it and just forgot about it. If they ever reach out to me again then I’ll definitely bring it up.
