Today I’ll be sharing with you a new-to-me Canadian Brand called Ingenium Naturals. They carry natural health supplements, essential oils, natural skincare products, and premium teas. I was graciously sent their Purifia Facial Cream ($28 USD) to try out, along with samples of their Organic Blueberry Matcha Tea ($1 USD) and their Premium Green-Oolong Slimming Tea ($1 USD).
Purifia Facial Cream
This naturally detoxifying and purifying moisturiser with tea tree oil helps in the prevention and reduction of brown spots, as well as acne and blackheads. For normal to oily skin.

Optiphen has no rating in CosDNA, but it scores a 5 on EWG’s Skin Deep. It scores a bit higher than I’d like, but I’ve done my research on it and feel comfortable using the product.
I have combination skin, but I usually stay away from products for combination and oily skin because I find them too drying for me. That being said, this Purifia Facial Cream is full of moisturising ingredients so it’s actually been working great for me!
As far as preventing acne, I really cannot tell if this product helps or not. My breakouts are hormonal, and even from month to month, they can vary greatly. So even though I’ve been using this product through an entire cycle, it’s really hard to say if it’s helping or not. My skin usually looks good overall and it’s remained that way while testing this cream so I can at least say that it has not made things worse.
I find the smell to be a mixture of tea tree oil and rosemary oil, and I quite enjoy it.
Organic Blueberry Matcha Tea
You know I’m a tea lover so I was really excited to get to try some of their teas.
This superior quality, smooth blend of stone ground Japanese matcha, combined with the enlightening flavor of all natural blueberry notes will add a touch of fruity sweetness to your day.
This tea sounds delicious!
Japanese Green Tea Matcha
Natural Blueberry Flavour
Pure Cane Sugar
How to Prepare
Add ½ tsp of matcha in a bowl of hot water. Whisk briskly for 1 minute until froth appears, and enjoy!
This tea smells really nice with its blueberry scent. It’s very mild and not overwhelming. It tastes just as good too – it’s a real blueberry taste and it has this great smoothness to it. I love this tea and just want to chug it.
The sample has enough tea to make 4-5 cups. The full size bag (100 gr./3.5 oz) retails for $19.95 USD.
Premium Green-Oolong Slimming Tea
This health and wellness blend combines superior quality Oolong and Green tea and provides an efficient antioxidant and slim-down effect when used daily, in combination with a healthy lifestyle.
Fine Premium Oolong
Premium Green Tea
I love both Oolong and Green teas so this blend sounds like it’ll be a winner.
How to Prepare
Quantity: 1 slightly heaping teaspoon per 1 cup of water
Water temp: 180°F/82°C
Steeping time: 3 min
This tea can be used repeatedly – about 3 times.
This tea tastes really nice; it’s a good blend of Green and Oolong flavours. If you’re not in the mood for a flavoured tea, this one is a great option.
The sample has enough tea to make two cups. The full size bag (50 gr/1.75 oz) retails for $24 USD.
My face has been feeling great while using the Purifia Facial Cream. And both teas taste great, I definitely want to try more. I have my eye on their Organic Vanilla Match Tea and their Genmaicha Organic Green Tea.
Have you heard of Ingenium Naturals before?
