Last year for my daughter’s birthday I made these Harry Potter themed loot bags. Now that I have a Cricut machine I love making ALL the things, so obviously I had to make the loot bags.
For the designs I used a free font called Harry P. from Dafont. The images I found online.
I bought some black pencil cases on Amazon and used metallic foil iron-on. I had a sample pack of the Cricut metallic foil iron-on, which includes a sheet of each: Espresso (bronze), Silver, Gold, Pewter (gunmetal). I used the gold for the names, but I didn’t have enough of the espresso left for all the pouches, so I made half with espresso and half with pewter. I was really happy with how these turned out; it was even better than I had imagined!
The magic wands I put in the loot bags are actually pencils! You can sharpen them and write with them. I found those on Amazon too.
In addition to the magic wand pencils, I added a candy bar and a pack of fruit gummies into the loot bags. You can’t have loot bags without candies! 😉
The kids seemed to love their personalized loot bags. They ate the goodies right away, and right after they started playing with the magic wands. So I think these were a hit. 🙂
My kiddo’s birthday is right around the corner so stay tuned to see what I make this year.
