Monthly Empties: September 2013

Hi readers!

Wow it’s October already?!? Where is the time going???

Since I was having my Rainbow Honey week this week I decided to wait until it was over to post my September empties, so here they are! 🙂

I feel like I finished so many products this month it’s crazy! So let’s get started, shall we?

Aveeno – Daily Moisturizing Lotion
My favourite body lotion makes an appearance once again! I’m done with these tubes and back with the pump bottles though.
Repurchase? Oh yes! I always do, and have backups.

Fruits & Passion – Cucina Hand Soap with Olive Oil – Lime Zest and Cypress
I use this product in my kitchen and I absolutely love it! All of my kitchen cleaners are from this scent line, I find it’s perfect for a kitchen and changes it up from all the sweet smells I have in the washrooms.
Repurchase? Yes! I always do.

Premium Cotton Balls – 100% Cotton
I use these to remove my nail polish. I buy them for cheap at Dollarama.
Repurchase? Yes.

Vichy – Nutri Extra Exfoliating Creme for sensitive skin
I got this as a freebie from Shoppers Drug Mart. It’s a body scrub so it has micro scrubbing beads in it. It worked well and smelled fresh, but it’s not something I feel like I really need.
Purchase? No.

Clarisonic – Nourishing Care Cleanser for normal/dry skin
This one came with my Clarisonic. It’s a lotion cleanser and does not lather up. It worked well with my Clarisonic, but I can’t see it doing so well on its own. Not for me and my oily skin anyway. It also didn’t smell good; it was faint but yucky.
Purchase? No, it’s not the right cleanser for me.

Clarisonic – Refreshing Gel Cleanser for all skin types
This one also came with my Clarisonic. This is a gel cleanser that lathers up good and works really well. I only used it with my Clarisonic, but if it had to be used by itself I’m sure it would do a decent job too. It smelled strong though and would definitely not be good for someone with perfume sensitivities. I found it a bit too strong for myself too, but it would be a pleasant smell if it was not as strong.
Purchase? No, it smells too strong for me.

Institut Esthederm – Osmoclean Alcohol Free Calming Lotion
This is the brand I used before going on a search for better products. Don’t get me wrong, they’re good products and I used them for a few years, but I just feel like there’s something better for me. This is one of their toners and it was good.
Repurchase? No, there are better products for me.

Institut Esthederm – Pure System Oil Free Protecting Fluid
This is what I used as my day lotion. It doesn’t have SPF per say, but this brand has their own sun protection technology and this lotion has that in it. I found it had a sweet liquor smell, it was really nice, lol!
Repurchase? No, there are better products for me.

Kiss Me – Ultra Volume Mascara in black
I forgot that I wanted to put this one in a “Makeup” section instead of the “Face” section. Oh well, next time! 🙂
This is the mascara I used before I found my new favourite one. It does not give me raccoon eyes, but it did tend to flake though. I do love that it comes in a metallic cover (the blue tube in the back), which I will reuse. You know what will fit well in that? A tampon! Yup, it will be my tampon holder for my purse! 🙂
Repurchase? No, I have a better mascara now.

Sephora – Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover
One of my girlfriends swears by this product. She says it’s the only one that will remove her waterproof mascara so I decided to give it a try. It works great on waterproof makeup, but it does leave an oily residue which I’m not too fond of. It can also sting if you get a bit in your eyes, and I like to open my eyes during cleanup to get my lower lid properly, so that is bound to happen.
Repurchase? No, I found a better one (which I will review soon).

Shiseido – Benefiance NutriPerfect Eye Serum
I’ve had this for like 10 months, no joke. I only used it under my eyes to tackle the fine lines in that area so it took forever to use up. Did it work? I’m not sure. I like to think that it did, but we’ll see how it goes without it for now.
Repurchase? No, not for now.

Shiseido – Facial Cotton
Ahh, my favourite face cottons make an appearance once again. Some find them pricy, but they are worth every penny in my opinion. They’re just sooooo soft!
Repurchase? Yes, I always do!

Redken – All Soft Shampoo & Conditioner
These are the only ones I buy, I love them! Their smell is faint, and I don’t know how to describe it, but I love it. They work great and make my hair feel so soft!
Repurchase? Oh yes!

Phew! Talk about a lot of products this month!

Have you used any of these products?
