I hope you’re all having a great weekend!
This week was week 4 of the Busy Girl Nails Fall Nail Art Challenge and this week’s theme colour was orange.
Orange is not a colour I wear a lot because it does not go well with my skin tone so I wasn’t quite sure what to do this week. But when I found out that Fantasy Makers “Ghouls Rush In” was a jelly polish the first thing that came to mind was JELLY SANDWICH!
The products I used for this mani are:
- OPI “Nail Envy” as base coat (not shown)
- Fantasy Makers “Ghouls Rush In”
- Nubar “Black Polka Dots”
- Butter London “Hardwear P.D. Quick Top Coat” (not shown)
I started with 2 coats of “Ghouls Rush In”, then 2 coats of “Black Polka Dots” (I dipped the brush in the polish twice, but I did not wait for the first coat to dry, so it was kind of just one coat, but 2 dips of the brush). And then I added one more coat of “Ghouls Rush In”. Then I finished it off with 1 coat of Butter London “Hardwear P.D. Quick Top Coat”.
I thought “Ghouls Rush In” was a bit more opaque because you can’t tell that much that I added a coat over “Black Polka Dots”, but then again it is black glitter. It did make the orange brighter though.
I wanted to stamp a pumpkin design in black on my ring finger instead of putting “Black Polka Dots”, but the image wasn’t transferring well to the stamper so I had to skip it. Bummer.
On Halloween day it was gloomy and raining here and these nails really looked neon and you could see them from miles away. This polish is really bright!
