Zoya ”Giovanna” – Swatches and Review

Hey readers!

Today I’m showing you the Zoya polish that I received in my October Ipsy Glam Bag and this colour is Giovanna.

This colour is part of their fall collection called Cashmeres & Satins and this one is in the Satins set.

The brush on this bottle is the typical round brush and it works well.

Zoya describes this colour as a stunning emerald green metallic.

You could get full opacity with one medium coat, but I always go with two coats for safe measure. I then topped it off with a top coat.

I didn’t notice any streaking with this polish, which is nice because metallics can be prone to streaking.

I highly recommend wearing a base coat with this one because if you don’t you might end up with green nails. I made a booboo on my pinky when applying the polish so I removed it with my cleanup brush (and acetone) and for some reason that process stained my pinky. I always wear a base coat so my other nails were ok when I removed this polish, but my pinky remained green.

I have to admit that this colour screams Christmas to me, especially with the metallic finish. I’m already thinking of holiday nail arts with this one!

This kind of green is not a colour I usually wear and not something I would’ve bought myself, but for that reason I barely have any greens and definitely nothing in this shade so I’m glad to have it – especially for nail art! 🙂

Do you like greens? Does this scream Christmas for you too?

– Chantal 🙂

Base coat: OPI “Nail Envy”
Top coat: Butter London “Hardwear P.D. Quick Top Coat”
