Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Polish in Peony – Swatches and Review

Hello everyone!

In my Loose Button Luxe Box that I received this spring there was this Crabtree & Evelyn nail polish in the shade Peony. Since the Canadian Beauty Bloggers‘ theme this month is pastels I figured it was perfect timing to receive and try this beautiful colour. Let’s take a closer look…

The bottle is a bit short, and so is the wand. The brush is on the small size as well, I find if feels a lot like the brushes on the Essie bottles (which I’m not a fan of). I just feel like I need to dip my brush a few more times because it always seems like I’m just missing half a drop that I would otherwise have with a regular-sized brush. Do you know what I mean?

Regardless of the small brush, the formula on this polish is wonderful. All I needed were two coats for full opacity, and the formula is self-levelling. When I first started applying this polish I was expecting some streaks and patchiness because it felt a lot like a white polish (all the ones I have are streaky and patchy AND three coaters), but nope, no streaks nor patches. Yeah!

The colour is a beautiful baby pink that I did not have yet. I LOVE IT!

These pictures are 2 coats and NO top coat.

I’m not a fan of the brush, but the formula and colour are both wonderful so that’s a winner in my books! I’m definitely tempted to try their white polish (since I have yet to find a good white 2-coater), and any other colours they have!

Have you tried nail polish from Crabtree & Evelyn? What do you think of this colour?
