Hi everyone!
I’m back with another mascara review! Mascaras are one of my favourite products to try, and this time I tried the A’PIEU Skinny Waterproof Curling Mascara.
The main reason I wanted to try this mascara was because of the small brush. I always find it a bit messy to try to get the roots of my lashes covered in mascara because the brush will usually touch the eyelid and leave marks – which I hate (obviously).
Unfortunately I find this brush too small. I have to wiggle it a lot from side to side to get a grip on my lashes, and I have to do many passes over and over to get a good coverage. However, due to the super tiny brush I am able to get at the very roots of my lashes and coat them with mascara without smudging the brush all over my lids.
This mascara has a very natural look, and I mean VERY natural. In this next picture you can see my natural lashes, and one coat of the A’PIEU Skinny Waterproof Curling Mascara.
Side note: I took like 20 pictures of my natural lashes and none were clear like the mascara picture. I hate it when that happens. 🙁
I added a second coat of mascara, but there was no difference between one and two coats so I did not add it to the picture above.
This next picture was taken after I applied two coats, still quite natural huh?
Now for the big question… did it give me raccoon eyes??? Here I am nine hours later.
Yes I have raccoon eyes, but it’s minimal. This is actually really good for 9 hours of wear.
For removal, a waterproof eye makeup remover is necessary. I was able to get most of it off whith a regular remover, to the point where it didn’t look like I had any left. But then I went over with a waterproof remover and there were hints of mascara on my cotton pad.
I may not like the brush and the look is too natural for me, but I can see using this mascara just to cover the roots of my lashes and then use my regular mascara for the real effect.
I bought this mascara on RoseRoseShop for $4.68 USD (they don’t seem to have it in stock right now).
What do you think?
– Chantal 🙂

Yeah that’s reaaaaally natural. At least the raccoon eyes weren’t too strong!
Yeah, a bit too natural for me. It’s good as a backup I guess.
lol once again the ‘natural’ euphemish. man that brush is TINY!! how am i supposed to glom on my mascara with that 😛
I don’t get the point of “natural” mascaras. And yes, tiniest brush ever!!!
that is a suuuuper tiny brush! I would like it for my bottom lashes though because I always make a mess of them (or just avoid putting it on altogether)
Yes, it is great for bottom lashes! Although I rarely cover them cause it contributes to the racooning. 🙁
Super natural, but I love how tiny the brush is. I have slightly hooded eyes and even with the smallest mascara brushes I still end up with it all over my eyelids lol
Yes, this brush definitely helps in not getting it all over your eyelids!
It does look very natural. That is a very tiny brush for sure.
This was too natural for me. The tiny brush was great to get the lashes at the roots! 🙂
