Happy bunnies! 🙂
This past weekend I said I was letting my nails grow a bit before summer sports start up. Well that was short-lived; they’ve been trimmed down already. I’m just not used to long nails on myself, so nubs it is!
Since Easter is just around the corner I decided to try drawing some Easter bunnies.
“Try” is the key word here because those are some freaky looking bunnies! But I still like them. 🙂
Here are the products I used:
- GOSH Baby Blue for the background;
- OPI Alpine Snow for the heads and inner eyes;
- Sinful Color Black on Black for the eyes, noses and mouths;
- Joe Fresh Pink for the inner ears;
- Essence Volumizing Lash Powder for the furry pinky.
Yes that is Essence Volumizing Lash Powder and not flocking powder for my pinky. I got the idea after seeing this picture on Facebook.
In case you’re wondering how the lash powder lasted here is my pinky 24 hours later, after many washing of the hands, sleeping, showering (in which I wash my hair), applying body lotion, putting products in my hair. All that to say that I did not put my pinky in a bubble, it was life as usual.
Not as fluffy, but it still lasted pretty well, huh?
I usually try to reproduce the same design on my right hand, but sometimes I just can’t. In those cases I’ll usually do something easier using the same colours. And most times it’s dots. So here is my right hand.
Back to my bunnies… I added some black dots to the eyes on my thumb and now I find it looks like a bear disguised as a rabbit, LOL!!!
So there you have it, my scary Easter bunnies. My husband even calls them Zombie Rabbits, hahahahaha!!! :-p
I’m not the best at drawing, obviously, but I think getting better tools would help. Right now I just use this cheap brush pack that I got at Walmart. What brushes do you use for your nail art? Feel free to leave links to products in the comments below.
