Kit “Spring Awakening” – Swatches and Review

Hi readers!

Today I have my second nail polish by Kit called Spring Awakening. This is from their spring collection.

This is a beautiful purple lilac colour and the formula was great to work with. It feels a bit sheer with the first coat, but gets fully opaque with the second and that’s all you need. This polish is also self-leveling.

The wand is wide and thin, and this one is aligned with the corners of the square cap. I would have preferred it aligned with the flat side, but oh well. Spoiler alert: my thumb has a preview of my next post. 🙂

As mentioned above I put on two coats of this polish, and I then followed with one coat of Butter London Hardwear P.D. Quick Top Coat. The polish was this shiny on its own, but I always add a top coat to prolong the life of my manicure.

This colour is gorgeous and perfect for spring! What do you think?

Kit nail polishes are available at, and exclusive to, Rexall and retail for $6.99 (CAD).

– Chantal 🙂

  1. I wish my nails were as pretty as yours! I have a bad habit of biting my nails since I was young.
The color is so pretty, it's such a nice color for the summer!

  2. Waaaah I always love your bottle and brush shots! They're the best. Again, I love that font! The price is right too – I don't recall seeing a Rexall anywhere here in Vancouver though. I'll keep my eyes out. I was going to say "man that colour is begging for a glitter topper!" then I saw your next post, hehe…
