Sally Hansen ”Mermaid’s Tale” – Swatches and Review

Hello everyone!

It’s the weekend, yay! 🙂 Unfortunately our internet has been down since yesterday, boo. 🙁 Thankfully I had prepared this post in advance so I’m posting it through my phone. I just hope that the formatting and pictures turn out ok.

A few weeks back I was walking through Shoppers Drug Mart when I came across some nail polishes on clearance and saw this one for $3 (CAD). I remember loving Melissa’s swatches so I immediately grabbed it! And by this polish I’m talking about Sally Hansen “Mermaid’s Tale” from their Complete Salon Manicure line.

The brush on these polishes is wide and thin with a rounded tip, the perfect brush in my opinion.

Since this polish has a jelly base you have to expect 3 coats to get a good coverage. The first 2 coats are okay, but once you add on the 3rd coat all I can say is WOW! The 3rd coat gives it so much depth it’s crazy, and I mean crazy beautiful! I then topped it off with 2 layers of top coat to give it a nice smooth finish.

Time to ooohhh and aaahhh a bit… 🙂

And of course the macro shot.

Isn’t it gorgeous?!? I absolutely love it!

This polish usually retails for $10 at Shoppers Drug Mart. Oddly enough it’s back at its regular price so I don’t know why it was on temporary clearance, but yay for me that it was!

What do you think?

– Chantal 🙂
