essence beach cruisers nail polishes – swatches and review

Hi everyone!

Have you seen the essence beach cruisers trend edition? I did, and I showed my purchases in a video too!

Today I’m showing you the three nail polishes that we got in Canada. There was a fourth one in this TE, a golden colour, but we did not get that one.

These are sparkling sand effect polishes, and although I love seeing others’ swatches of textured polishes, I’m usually not a fan of them on myself. However, I just can’t resist essence‘s trend editions so I just had to buy these. 🙂

The brushes on these polishes are wide and thin, like essence polishes usually have, which I love.

These trendy nail polishes give your nails an exciting, glittering sand effect in red, light apricot and turquoise. For a surprising 3d style you can touch!

01 i ♥ summer break

This is the red polish and it’s the one with the most glitters. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it or not, but it ended up being my favourite of the three! This is one textured polish that I would wear again; I REALLY liked it!

This one gave me full opacity with one coat, but I still put on two for safe measure.

02 girls just wanna have sun!

This is the apricot shade and doesn’t have as many glitters as i ♥ summer break. This is my least favourite of the three, but that was expected since it’s an orange colour and they don’t tend to look good with my skin tone.

I used two coats for this one and it still felt a bit patchy to me – a third coat would have done full opacity.

03 keep calm and go to the beach!

I thought this turquoise shade would be my favourite of the three, but it’s my second favourite. I think if it had more glitters it would have been a close call between this one and i ♥ summer break, but I find in this state it falls a bit flat.

This is another one where I used two coats, but I think three coats would have been better because it still feels patchy to me.

And those are the nail polishes from the beach cruisers trend edition that we got in Canada!

I find that all three have a good texture to them, which you can kind of see in the macro shots. I prefer my textured polishes with loads of glitters though and that is probably why i ♥ summer break is my favourite one.

These are $2.49 CAD each at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Did you pick up any polishes from this trend edition? What’s your take on textured polishes – with glitters or not?

– Chantal 🙂
