Happy Labour Day!
Did you get to enjoy the beautiful weather today? Here it was nice and sunny – a bit muggy though, but not too hot.
We’re starting a new month again so it’s time to take a look at the products that I finished last month. Here are my empties for August…
First off, a video! 🙂
= Loved it!
= It’s okay.
= No rating.
(Links are to my past reviews.)
Bath and Body Works – Shower Gel in Cashmere Glow * REPEAT ITEM *
I’ve shown many BBW shower gels in my empties before because I always buy them, but they’re always in different scents. This one has a warm, sweet, sultry scent which I really like, and it’s the kind I usually use in the winter.
Palmer’s – Cocoa Butter Stretch Mark Massage Lotion * REPEAT ITEM *
I went through a few of these during my pregnancy, I LOVE IT! It smells SO good and it moisturises really well. Now that I’ve given birth I won’t be repurchasing it, but I think they have a regular Cocoa Butter line so I might try that in the future (I have lots of body lotions to go through right now).
COOLA – Mineral Face SPF 20 Unscented Moisturizer
I got this in my July 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag and I finally used it this year! I really liked it when I had dry skin (due to my pregnancy) because it helped make it not so dry, but for my regular combo skin it would be too greasy. I will not be buying this product.
Elizabeth Grant – Biocollasis Complex Cell Vitality Victory Eye Serum
I received this in my Winter 2013 Loose Button Luxe Box and I started using it in the spring. It’s a serum so I think you use this on top of eye cream, but I used it by itself. I didn’t see any changes or improvements with my eye area. It was okay, I guess. I won’t be buying it though.
Simple – Cleansing Facial Wipes
I heard great things about these so when I saw this sample pack I had to pick it up. I didn’t get to try them with makeup because I don’t wear much these days, but they felt nice when I needed a quick wake-me-up or pre-bedtime face wash. I will buy them again later once I start wearing makeup again to see how they are at removing it.
Simple – Moisturizing Facial Wash
I bought this when I was pregnant and had dry skin. It worked well at cleansing, but it dried my face. I will not be repurchasing this one.
Live Clean – Argan Oil Restorative Shampoo
I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Live Clean brand so I decided to try their hair products. I bought this shampoo to use while I was finishing up a bottle of Redken conditioner (below). This shampoo smelled really good – a little nutty, but not overwhelming. It also lathered extremely well – a little went a long way. I will buy this again, and try the conditioner too.
Pantene – Classic 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner
I bought this travel size for my hospital bag because I didn’t know what I needed to bring when I went to give birth. It’s a good thing that I did not use it at the hospital though because I really needed some additional conditioner after using it. The scent was ok, but I find it’s a typical drug-store shampoo smell. It lathered really well and a little went a long way, but that’s the only good thing I have to say about it.
Redken – Curvaceous Conditioner
I bought this, along with the shampoo (which was in my May Empties), because I have wavy/curly hair so I wanted to try it out. I always seem to finish shampoos before the conditioners. This conditioner is unlike any I’ve used before; it can be a rinse-out OR a leave-in conditioner. The texture is like body lotion – really weird. I was not a fan, but it worked okay so I still finished it. I will not be repurchasing it though.
And that’s what I finished in August. Have you tried any of these? What products did you finish in August?
– Chantal 🙂
