Hey everyone!
Are you good at styling your hair? I’m not. My hair is naturally wavy/curly so I have my way to style it “naturally” (with the help of products). I can also straighten it and tie it into a messy bun. That’s about the extent of my hair styling skills. Pretty basis, don’t you agree?
I was extremely happy to receive the KISS InstaWave Automatic Curling Iron to try out because this would give me another tool (and way) to style my hair. Can you believe it’s my first curling iron?!? Let’s take a look at this hair tool…
The first thing I thought when I took it out of the box was “ooh look at those sparkles!” Typical girly girl, right? lol!
This automatic curling iron is really easy to use. The barrel will turn left or right depending on which side of the button you press. It also heats up really fast, with the light going from red when it’s heating up to blue when it’s ready to use. And it has 2 heat settings (max is 420° F, which is what I used for this hair style).
This curling iron emits an eeeeeee sound as soon as you plug it in (until you unplug it).
I used the KISS InstaWave on second-day hair. Since I showered close to bed time the previous night, I just wanted to do my hair without having to shower all over again.
To prepare my hair for curling I first brushed out all the knots, then I sprayed a heat protectant throughout (currently using KENNETH BERNARD Protect Thermal Protection Spray). It’s also important to brush out every strand of hair just before you curl it. It’s happened to me a few times where my hair would get tangled on the “comb” of the barrel and I’d have to start over (even with the brushing).
Then I’m ready to curl. I made a quick little video while doing my hair. 🙂
All curled up!
Once my hair was all done and curled I passed my fingers throughout to seperate the curls (you could totally keep the ringlets if you wanted to). I then tied back my bangs and voilà! From messy bed hair to ready-to-go-out hair!
This curling iron was really easy to use and great for a newbie like me! I’m definitely going to play with it more and practice my hair styling skills.
The KISS InstaWave Automatic Curling Iron retails for $69.96 CAD and can be purchased at Walmart.
Have you tried this product? Would you use something like this?
