It’s been a few days since I posted something… time was not on my side to finish this post, but it’s finally done! Today’s post is about a stunner of a polish; this is Sally Hansen Rags to Riches. I mean, look at it… LOOK AT IT!!! 😀
Back in September Jenn from A Beautiful Zen posted this nail polish and I JUST HAD TO HAVE IT! Not too long after I was at Shoppers Drug Mart when I spotted it on sale for like 50% off. I think you know what happened next… especially since I’m showing it to you today! 🙂
The brush is thin and really wide, which I usually love, but this one seems off… It’s not quite curved on the sides and it looks like one side was cut off to be curved, but some hairs didn’t get trimmed. So it makes the application a bit tricky and messy, but I always clean up my cuticles after applying nail polish so the messy bits are taken care of at that point.
Rags to Riches is a dark and vampy oxblood colour. Be still my beating heart.
The colour is a bit darker on the nails than it is in the bottle, but that’s just perfect for me!
The polish is fully opaque with two coats, but I have this thing with dark polishes and always go with three coats for a little extra va va voom. In these pictures I have three coats and NO top coat.
This was the base colour for some fall-themed nail art I did not too long ago, which I absolutely loved!
This colour is so me! Dark, vampy, and I want to go wear it again right now!
What kind of colours get you excited like this one gets me? 😉
