By now a lot of people have heard about Paul & Joe‘s beauty line, especially because of their über cute cat lipsticks! Today I’m sharing with you two products from their Summer 2016 Come Sail Away limited edition (LE): the lipstick in the shade 003 Ahoy! and the lipstick case 002.
Paul & Joe‘s lipsticks are interesting because you can customize them by choosing the case you want.
So when you buy a lipstick make sure you buy a case too, otherwise you’ll have to make another trip to the store after you realize you’re missing a piece. However, once you’re done your lipstick you can keep your case and just go buy a new bullet. So when they release beautiful limited edition cases, like this one, you can keep it for ever and ever – just buy new lipsticks to put in it.
The Come Sail Away LE has a sixties’ retro vibe and offers products and colours for women of all ages! Their lipsticks offer a sheer delicate “kitten kiss” of color for baby-soft lips – and a cat silhouette that stays with you all summer long!
The colour 003 Ahoy! has a beautiful red cat wrapped in a clear-ish balm. Let’s take a closer look at this kitty, isn’t it just the cutest?!?
In real life I find the colour to be a red-ish coral, but in these pictures it leans a bit more pink.
I was really not expecting this lippie to give this much colour and I absolutely love it!

I know lots of people will not want to use this product because they’ll want to keep the embossed cat face FOR EVER 😉 but rest assured that the cat shape goes straight through to the end.
I find this lipstick has a soapy scent. It smells nice, but I find it really odd to have that scent on my lips. It only lasts a few minutes though; it does not linger. But it’s still weird to smell soap when I apply/reapply.
They refer to this as a lipstick, but it’s more a tinted lip balm and that is exactly how it feels and lasts on the lips. I drink a lot during the day and I find I have to reapply every 1 to 1.5 hours. I find the colour also clings a bit to my dry spots (I can tell when I don’t exfoliate the night before). It’s nothing major, but worth mentioning.
Paul & Joe is available at select Shoppers Drug Mart and the Come Sail Away LE is now in stores (it came out in May).

ahahah so as i was slowly reading through, i KNEW there would be a swatch which mean you had to use the lipstick which mean the embossing got removed and i totally felt like something died bwahahaha. i was like…let’s having a moment of silence ’cause we’ll never get that cat head back again. 😛 and i dont even like cats!
i have yet to touch mine because of it…too funny!
Yeah as I was writing this I was imagining some ladies going NOOOOO, DON’T MESS UP THE CAT FACE! lol! I did leave it untouched for a little while before using it, but then I just had to try it. 🙂

With the cat shape going through it definitely keeps its cuteness even though the embossing is gone. 🙂
