Hi everyone!
When I went to the preview of the new Simons location earlier this week I was wearing a top that had orange and khaki colours in it so I wanted to wear a polish that matched those colours. I don’t have khaki polishes, oddly enough, and oranges just don’t look good on me, so once I spotted this brown beauty in my drawer I knew right away that this is what I was going to wear. This is the second, and last, Michael Kors nail polish that I bought during a BOGO sale at The Bay; this is Desire.
The brush is round and small. It works well, but I would prefer it a little bit bigger. The golden square cap comes off to reveal a round cap.
Desire is a really dark brown that ends up looking black on the nails. The formula was great to work with and I got full opacity with two coats. If the formula was a bit thicker this would have been a one coater. It had a nice even and shiny finish on its own, but I find that a topcoat makes a great looking polish look perfect, so I added one layer of topcoat. I mean, look at this beauty.
As much as I love wearing pastels in the spring and brights in the summer, and I know I’m repeating myself here, dark polishes are where my true polish love lies. As I was doing my nails with this polish I could hear my inner polish junkie release a sigh of pure joy at seeing the dark richness of this colour. Seriously IN LOVE!
This colour is still available on The Bay for $20 CAD. After trying both MK polishes that I have I’m sad that there are no other dark colours available because I would definitely want to try more.
Have you tried nail polish from Michael Kors?

I’m always in awe and envy of your nail shape and cuticle grooming. Plus your polish skills. While I’m not much of a nail polish person, I always find your nail shots soothing. Kind of an odd thing to say, but it’s so true!
Thank you Chelle, that’s really sweet of you to say! <3
