Éminence Organic Skin Care Review

Hi everyone!

Today I’m sharing with you a new-to-me brand from Hungary called Éminence Organic Skin Care. I have their Firm Skin Açai Cleanser ($38 USD), Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant ($48 USD), Neroli Age Corrective Hydrating Mist ($38 USD), and Stone Crop Hydrating Gel ($59 USD). Everything you need to take care of your face – minus the eyes. 🙂

Their products are free of parabens, animal by-products, propylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, harmful colorants and fragrances, mineral oils, petroleum, and other harsh cosmetic chemicals. (source)

For every product sold they plant a tree in developing countries and have already planted over SIX MILLION trees! How amazing is that?!? Find out more about their partnership with Trees for the Future.

The more I read about this company the more I like them! BUT, do their products deliver? Let’s find out right now!

Firm Skin Açai CleanserAntioxidant-rich acai berries are perfect for revitalizing mature skin. This cream cleanser also blends hyaluronic acid and seabuckthorn oil to restore the appearance of elasticity to the skin and present a more youthful look.

This cleanser smells like berries, it’s wonderful! It’s not too strong either, just perfect.

This is a cream cleanser and I have to say, I’m not a fan of cream cleansers so I did not have high expectations for this one. That being said, I LOVE IT! You can dilute it with a small amount of water before applying to your face, but I prefer to apply it as-is (no water) on my dry skin. I then massage it all over my face for a couple of minutes then rinse it off with water. You can use a damp cloth to remove it as well, but I find that it rinses off great with just water.

I’ve tried this cleanser on a full face of makeup and it did not quite remove 100% of my makeup. It did remove most of it, and following with the Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant will take care of whatever is left, but I still prefer to do a pre-cleanse. I always remove my eye makeup with micellar water on a cotton pad (one per eye) and then I pass the cotton pads all over my face and that is enough of a pre-cleanse. This cleanser takes care of the rest.

It leaves my face feeling clean and hydrated – not tight like a lot of cleansers tend to do (especially the ones for combo/oily skin).

Strawberry Rhubarb DermafoliantAchieve a bright and radiant looking complexion with our Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant. Rice powder absorbs oil while lactic and salicylic acids remove dead skin cells. The strawberries and rhubarb infuse the skin with antioxidants.

This exfoliator is in powder form and you mix it with a very small amount of water to create a paste-like texture that you then rub all over your face. I find it best to add a drop of water at a time until you reach the consistency that you want, otherwise it could be too runny and it won’t apply well to your face – it’ll just run down your arms as soon as you raise your hands.

This exfoliant is labelled as gentle enough to be used daily, but I find it a bit harsh for daily use. What I’ve started doing is mixing it with the Firm Skin Açai Cleanser instead of water and it works perfectly! The cleanser gives it a thicker consistency so it’s not as harsh on my face and I can use it daily. It leaves my skin feeling SO SOFT! And when combined with the cleanser my face feels soft and hydrated, it’s really really nice.

This product also smells fruity and I love it!

Neroli Age Corrective Hydrating MistA collagen boosting toner with Natural Retinol Alternative and Swiss Green Apple Stem Cells for all skin types, especially mature. Your skin will feel smoother and appear tighter with the energizing boost of fragrant neroli oil.

To use this face mist first shake it well then spray over face and neck avoiding the eye area. It can also be applied with cotton pads. I find it impossible to avoid my eyes when using a face mist so I use a cotton pad, I do 7-8 sprays onto the pad then apply all over my face and neck. It feels nice on the skin.

When I first spray this product I find it smells like sunblock for some reason, but that’s just the mist in the air. When I smell the cotton pad I get more of a vegetable-like scent.

Stone Crop Hydrating GelThe powerful cactus juice of stone crop give the skin instant, deep-penetrating moisture that leaves skin with a smooth matte finish. This hydrating gel will soothe, heal, and even skin tone to minimize the appearance fine lines and pigmentation.

This gel absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. It has no SPF though so if you’re going out in the sun make sure you use sunblock.

I need about a pump and a half to cover my face and neck.

This product also has a vegetable-like scent. It’s not my favourite, but I don’t hate it. It doesn’t linger so that’s a good thing.

I have to say that I’m quite impressed with these products! Especially the Firm Skin Açai Cleanser and Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant. Those two used together are amazing, I LOVE THEM! I’ve never been loyal to a face cleanser before, but these are definitely at the top of the list and will be purchased when I need more cleanser.

I find it funny that the cleanser and scrub smell fruity and the mist and gel smell like vegetables; it’s like having dessert before your main meal, lol!

I had never heard of Éminence Organic Skin Care before and now I definitely want to try more of their products!

You can buy their products online at BuyNaturalSkinCare.com or you can check their site to see if there is a spa near you that carries them. I was impressed to see that there are LOTS of spas in town that carries them so I’ll definitely be paying one (or some) of them a visit at some point!

Had you heard of them before?

– Chantal 🙂
