Tea Empties Volume IV

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my last Tea Empties post! That’s right, I’ve decided to stop doing empties post on my blog (tea and beauty). Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed sharing my empty products with you these past few years. But in my quest to declutter my home and my life I’ve decided that I don’t want to hold on to empty products anymore. I’ll figure out a way to showcase products in another way instead – maybe some type of “what I’m using/drinking lately” type of post, we’ll see. Anywho, I’ve been saving my empty teas for a long time for this post so here it is!

DAVIDsTEA “Butterfly Jasmine” (Papillon au jasmin) (green) Jasmine tea is my all time favourite tea and this one did not disappoint! Love love love!

DAVIDsTEA “Chocolate Macaroon” (black) This tea is really good if you love chocolate. It also has coconut in it, but I have to say that I don’t really smell it or taste it. The chocolate though, yes, and it’s so yummy! This tea is on my repurchase list.

DAVIDsTEA “Cream of Earl Grey” (black) I initially bought this tea because I had it at a friend’s and loved it. But I don’t know if it’s been opened for too long or my tastes simply changed, but I have not been enjoying this tea like I used to. I still liked it enough to finish it; I did not hate it, but it’s just not the tea I initially loved. I don’t know how to describe the taste either…

DAVIDsTEA “Mulled Wine” (oolong) I’ve never had mulled wine so I can’t compare the taste. It was ok, but it’s just not my thing.

DAVIDsTEA “Organic Silk Dragon Jasmine” Another delicious tasting jasmine tea. I think that now it’s just called Silk Dragon Jasmine (they’ve dropped the Organic).

DAVIDsTEA “Gold Rush” (Ruée vers l’or) (white) This one is really delicious, but if you need it for caffeine, don’t bother. There is so little tea leaves in this one that it’s almost an herbal tea. Very delicious though.

DAVIDsTEA “Secret Santa” (black) CRAP I forgot to include this one in the picture!!! 🙁 This tea lasted a long time given that it’s a big tin and I enjoyed every single sip of it! It’s not overwhelming on the peppermint; it’s a nice blend of sweetness from the vanilla and a hint of peppermint. It even feels like there’s a bit of chocolate in it, but there is not. I love it! Definitely a repurchase next Christmas season.

DAVIDsTEA “Sweet Almond Green” (vert amande) This one tastes delicious, just like sweet almonds.

ETTE TEA “Mango Sticky Rice” and “Pandan Chiffon” I’ve reviewed both of these teas before. In short: I love them!

Also, look how beautiful those tins are!

Lupicia “Jardin Sauvage” (herbal) This one really reminded me of DAVIDsTEA “Green & Fruity”, I would call it a dupe for it. 🙂

Lupicia “Pommier” (rooibos) I absolutely LOVE this tea and always ask my friend to buy me some when he goes to San Francisco. It tastes like warm apple cider with a hint of maple syrup, YUM!

Lupicia “Tokio” (green) This tea is described as a green tea delicately flavored with sweet berries. I wouldn’t say that I love it, but it’s more than just okay. It’s good. The berry flavour is not too strong, and it’s a good mix too because I cannot pinpoint a specific taste/berry. I don’t feel like I need to buy it, but I would definitely drink it again if I got more samples or if it was offered to me.

My friend used to bring me back some Lupicia teas when he went back home to San Francisco, but the location he used to go to closed down. No more Lupicia tea for me. 🙁

Lychee Black Tea (black) This tea tasted like lychee and it was really good. I have no clue what the brand is though, but their tins are really cute.

Jasmine Tea (green?) This was a good jasmine tea.

Orchid Tea (?) This one reminded me a bit of jasmine tea in the sense that it’s a floral smell/taste. I really enjoyed it.

Pluck “Canadian Maple” (rooibos) The first flavour ingredient in this tea is cocoa and I can definitely smell it and taste it. It’s not as maple-y as I thought it would be, but it’s still delicious AF.

Teavana “Zingiber Ginger Coconut” (herbal) I enjoyed this one, I could smell and taste the coconut, and the ginger was really mild.

Tea Ave “Magnolia Oolong”, “Osmanthus Oolong”, and “Rose Oolong” I was a really bad blogger with these ones. I was supposed to review them for you about two years ago and it didn’t happen. I finally tried them this past fall and absolutely LOVED them! I placed an order on Boxing Day and you WILL see a review of that soon! 🙂

With drinking 2-3 teas per day it’s really been helping getting my collection down. I’m actually at the point where I barely have options now, I need to buy more teas STAT! 😉
