It’s been a while since I wore a nail polish from Bootie Babe. I’m a sucker for things that are different, and you can’t argue that these bottles are different! 😉 For my birthday a few weeks ago I decided to try another colour I bought from them; this one is called Tears For Rears.
The brush is wide and thin, but unlike the brush from Cushy Tushy, this one is slightly slanted and it’s kind of odd. It almost feels like it just wasn’t cut correctly. It still works well, but there’s just something off about it.
Tears For Rears is described as a seductive red shimmer. I find it to be more of a magenta red, but it’s definitely a shimmer.
The formula was nice to work with and only required two coats for full opacity. It did pull at the cuticles a bit though, which you can see on my pinky. But the oddly slanted brush made me have to go over the nail a bit more often than usual so this may not be an issue otherwise. I then finished it off with a layer of topcoat.
I was really happy with this one. I’m not a huge fan of shimmer nail polishes cause you can often see brush strokes, but not with this one (the semi stroke you see on my index is from the topcoat). They have lots more colours I want to try!
Have you heard of Bootie Babe before?
