Seems all I post about lately are my monthly empties and purchases. I have more posts I want to prepare, but I have to admit that I’m having a hard time finding the energy and motivation these days. I love working from home, but with my daughter doing virtual school it’s definitely a lot busier during the day. And this pandemic, it gets to you. Once the evening comes around I don’t want to do anything at all. Even the house chores are falling to the wayside. That’s how things are right now and it’s ok. I do what I can when I can.
Anywho, I digress. I had quite a few empty products in April so let’s get to them.

Body Care
Aveeno – Daily Moisturizing Lotion (R) This is my go-to body lotion, I always have a bottle on the go. It moisturizes my skin perfectly and leaves it feeling soft. I also like that itâs scent-free because it doesnât conflict with my perfume.
Nair – Wax Ready Strips for Sensitive Skin (R) This is my go-to wax. I use it on my underarms and on my legs, it works great!
Nivea – Natural Comfort 0% Aluminum Deodorant Dry Spray This deodorant works well, but the scent is just ok for me. I prefer the other scent over this one.
SweetSpot – Unscented Gengle Wash (R) This is another go-to product of mine, itâs what I use to wash my sweet spot đ and to wash my face when I’m in the shower.
Face Care
AlumierMD – AluminEye This eye cream worked well. Towards the end, it felt like my fine lines were diminished. It’s one I will consider purchasing in the future (this was a giveaway prize that I won).
SkinCeuticals – Phloretin CF Within two weeks of using this Vitamin C serum my face felt smoother. I love it! This one is intended for combination skin.
SkinMedica – Facial Cleanser This cleanser lasted a LONG time! It worked very well too, but tasted very yucky if you got some in your mouth, lol! This was from another giveaway that I won.
SkinMedica – Retinol Complex 0.25 (R) I really liked this retinol when I first tried it (another giveaway prize) so I purchased it. It was gentle enough for my skin and helped with the texture and overall look and feel of my skin. I’m now trying another brand, but this one is definitely worth trying out.
Hair Care
Aveda – nutri plenish leave-in conditioner This is my new go-to leave-in conditioner. It works really well at giving my hair the extra help that it needs to get the tangles out. And it smells really nice. I buy this from my friend Vanessa, owner of Blush & Rose Beauty Bar.
Kerotin – Keratin Renewal Shampoo (R) These products work well on my hair (I’m still using the conditioner). The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t have a Canadian distributor; you have to buy from the States. So I probably will not repurchase them because of that.
Samples
Bioderma – Soothing Moisturizing Toning Lotion This toner was nice. You can use it on your face and eyes, and it gave a nice hydration boost to my skin.
G.M. Collin – Mature Perfection Day Cream – I’ll be honest, I don’t remember much about this day cream. What I can say is that I didn’t hate it, but it’s been too long that I don’t remember much more. Woopsie.
Image Skincare – Vital C Hydrating Facial Cleanser & Hydrating Repair Crème Both of these smelled amazing, just like orange juice. The cleanser was really nice and worked well, and the repair crème was moisturizing and left my skin feeling nice and soft. I got these samples from my friend VĂŠronique, owner of Vie Esthetic Studio.
innisfree – Youth-enriched Cream with Orchid This moisturizer was really nice. It made my skin feel so soft. It smelled good too, light and fresh. I also have the full version of this cream and I can’t wait to use it (after I finish a few more samples).
innisfree – Intensive Hydrating Serum This serum had a very pleasant green tea scent, and it added a nice boost of hydration to my skin. It was great for the dryer months, I loved it.
innisfree – Time Science Spot Treatment – I don’t really have anything to say about this product because it did nothing for me.
skin regimen – anti-pollution face wash I did NOT like the scent of this face wash. I still used both samples because they only lasted about two washes each, and they cleaned well. But I would never buy it because of the scent. It smelled kind of woodsy, but NOT in a good way. It was very unpleasant, but it did not linger on the skin after I rinsed it off.
