Hi everyone!
A few months ago I got the urge to try new foundations and the one at the top of my list was the Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Serum Foundation. Both Chelle (Makeup Your Mind) and Jodi (Up the Rollercoaster) have raved about this foundation and since I had never tried anything from Bourjois Paris I really wanted to try it out.
I bought the lightest shade available: 51 Light vanilla. When I swatched it at the store it seemed like a good match, but once I got home and put it onto my winter pale face (about two months ago) it was a shade too dark for me. Now that we’re having beatiful weather and spending lots of time outside with our daughter I’ve started to get a little tan so this shade is perfect for me right now!
I LOOOVE that this comes with a pump, it’s so convenient! I need one pump and a half to cover my entire face.
This product has a wonderful fruity scent that reminds me a lof of the Skinfood Peach Sake Pore BB Cream SPF20 PA+. It’s a very light scent and not overwheling at all. It fades away once on the face too; it does not linger.
The bottle says that this offers light coverage, but I would say it’s more of a medium coverage and it can be built up too. You can see below in my half and half picture that it does a pretty good job at hiding the redness in my face. And in my full application photo you can see that it’s a perfect match for me!
This foundation has a semi-matte finish which is perfect for me (I have combo skin so I prefer matte over dewy finishes). It does benefit from using a primer underneath, and I love that it does not highlight my fine lines and wrinkles (some products settle into the lines I have on my forehead).
I love how light this product feels on my skin and still offers great coverage. I love the scent, and I love the finish. The only bad thing I have to say is that I wish they had a lighter shade so I could wear it in the winter too, but other than that this foundation gets two thumbs up from me!
Have you tried this one?
– Chantal 🙂

The shade range is really terrible on this line and it’s so disappointing because it’s such a well loved foundation by those that can wear it. I’m lucky in the sense that I’m a touch darker so I can get around with 52 in the winter. But yes, hands down this is my absolute favourite foundation and I’m so glad you love it too. The smell ALWAYS makes me smile every time I pull the cap off!
It smells SO good! I’m so glad I picked it up cause it really is a wonderful foundation. I also didn’t realize how popular it was (after posting in the CBB group). You’ll see it on me next week. 😉
I realllly want to try it! Looks great on your skin 🙂
Thank you Steph! 🙂 You have to try this one if you get the chance, it’s really really nice.
I;ve always wanted to try this foundation (I know viviannadoesmakeup and fleur de force rave about it as well), but it’s still so expensive for a drugstore brand. I may need to pick one up soon and give it a go, since my foundation stash is virtually non-existent at the moment. It looks so nice on you; like second-skin.

Thank you Katherine!
Yes it is a bit pricy for a drugstore brand, but so worth it! Use your Optimum points to get it! 🙂
This is on my foundations to try list as well! Everyone seems to rave about it and for a drugstore brand it seems like such great quality.
It really is a great quality foundation! A bit pricy, but definitely worth it!
I agree that it’s a medium coverage. It’s actually what I am wearing on my face today! Hehee!! I love how dewy it makes my skin look (but semi-matte on you!), but unfortunately it doesn’t last that long on my skin. I do love it though, and I stocked up last time I was home – got 4 bottles omg… 🙂
I had not realized before I posted my review that so many people love this one. I mean every foundation out there must have lots of love from lots of people, but I just don’t seem to hear a lot about this one. Maybe since it’s not a new product people just don’t talk about it much anymore.
For me it lasts long enough for a day’s work.
4 bottles, lol! I guess it’s not available in the US?
Nope! Not available down here. I first heard the UK YouTube ladies talk about it – then got interested in it late last year, so I picked up a bottle. Just wish it wasn’t $29 lol… pricey.
