Do you shave your legs, wax them, treat them with hair removal cream? I usually get my legs waxed, and I’ve already talked about how I wax my legs at home. I was really intrigued when I received these Velvet Touch Natural Hair Remover Mitten because I’ve never tried anything like them, and I have to admit that I was skeptical…
Unlike painful tweezing, waxing, razors or harsh chemicals, the Velvet Touch Mitten gently massages away unwanted hair and leaves your skin feeling silky and smooth.
Tu use: Rotate the mitten in a circular motion moving down the leg.
These feel like very soft sand paper – that’s kind of what they are.
My legs were in need of a wax so I tried a mitten on one leg, and it really does work! I know this next picture is not the best, but I just wanted to show you that it really did remove my hairs.
My leg felt very soft after I was done because it gently exfoliates your skin as you’re sanding away your hairs. Just be careful you don’t apply too much pressure or go over the same spot too often because you’ll irritate your skin if you do so. It’s also good to moisturize once you’re done. I would say about 30 minutes after I was done my leg had a little burning sensation, but after I moisturized it went away. I think my skin was just too dry from the exfoliation.
My hairs grew back in the same amount of time they would have if I shaved, but my leg still felt softer than if I had shaved. I think it’s because when you shave the razor just cuts your hairs straight, but the light sanding from the mitten makes the tips of your hairs smooth. Makes sense? 🙂
The only downfall is that this does take longer than using a razor. It’s not something I would do in the morning while I’m getting ready. I imagine myself using this in the evening while watching tv. I say “imagine” because I rarely shave, I usually wax (as previously mentioned).
Curious about this product? It retails for $4.49 CAD on FarleyCo.ca, and they also list the retailers that carry it. They also have natural hair removers for the face, bikini, and one to use in the shower.
Have you tried a hair removal mitten before? Would you use one?
