I love bath & body products – obviously! 😉 And I love discovering new brands, especially when they’re Canadian, and especially when they’re an Indie brand. So I was really happy to have the opportunity to try some products from Joa Bath & Body. Today I’ll be sharing with you their Decadence Body Soufflé ($24.95 CAD), Wholesome Body Lotion ($19.95 CAD), Frost Lip Balm ($3.95 CAD), and their newly released Goddess Sea Peal Scrub.
Joa Bath & Body was created by a mom who wanted healthy body care for her kids and herself, who all have sensitive skin. And in time it turned into a business. Joa is Korean and it roughly translated to “good” which is what Cindy creates, good products for your body. Most of her products are all natural, except for a few fragrances (like the cranberry scent) and the preservatives.
Frost Lip Balm
Made with exotic oils, this lip balm is perfect for dry lips, with a hint of peppermint for a frosty feel.
This lip balm smells like peppermint (obviously) and feels really cool on the lips – your lips will tingle and feel like they’re in the Arctic. I actually quite enjoy the feeling, and I love the smell of peppermint.
This lip balm works great for me and it does not leave my lips feeling dry once it wears off.
Wholesome Body Lotion
This lotion is an all natural moisturizer that is ideal for dry, sensitive skin. Honey is a natural humectants and oatmeal is very soothing for dry itchy skin. As will all of our lotions, it is made with skin-nourishing oils and glycerin another natural humectants.
This lotion smells more like oatmeal than honey, but I find it soothing, and it doesn’t linger either so I like this when I know I’ll wear perfume because the scents won’t compete.
This lotion is light in texture, but don’t let that fool you because it hydrates really well. I use one pump per leg, one for both arms and one for my torso, and as I’m spreading it over my body I’m all white, but within a few seconds it gets absorbed and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.
Decadence Body Soufflé
This is a rich, luxurious cream that smoothes and softens very dry skin with the heady aroma of decadent chocolate.
This body soufflé is absolutely AH-MA-ZING!!! Seriously! It’s actually scented with cocoa (cocoa absolute) so it smells EXACTLY like chocolate and I just want to roll in it all day long. I get whiffs of it here and there during the day and I love it!
The texture is quite interesting as well. As you can see from the picture (below) it’s full of air bubbles and as I pass my finger in it to scoop some up I can hear the bubbles popping. This soufflé is heavier than the body lotion, but it still absorbs well and it also leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth – and smelling like chocolate! 😉
Goddess Sea Peal Scrub
Smooth away rough dry skin, leaving behind silky smoothness. A treatment fit for a goddess.
The body scrubs were just released this weekend, on November 12th, and the one I’m sharing with you is a salt scrub.
Since this is a salt scrub the scrubbing bits are not as big as a sugar scrub, but it still scrubs really well. This one leaves an oily residue behind which leaves your skin hydrated, but if you use this in the shower be careful because the floor can get quite slippery. I personally prefer to use scrubs on my hands; I use them just before going to bed, followed by a good hand cream and it helps keep my hands smooth and soft, especially in the dry winter months.
I love the scent of this scrub, it’s clean and slightly nutty and just wonderful!
Here are a few pictures from their new product launch party on Saturday.
I absolutely love every product I’ve received! I have to say that you MUST try the Decadence Body Soufflé, it’s seriously that good!
Have you heard of Joa Bath & Body before? What product(s) are you drawn to?
