BB Creams – General Talk

Hi readers!

Today I’ll be talking about BB Creams. But before I get into that, here’s a little about my beauty routine.

I don’t really wear makeup. My morning routine consists of Clinic’s City Block Sheer SPF 25 (since my lotion has no SPF) and Benefit’s the Porefessional. I then add a bit of MAC Select Cover Up under my eyes, and voilà!

I never really got into wearing foundation because I have large pores and oily skin. Some of the foundations I tried in the past looked caked on and really enhanced my pores – not good! I know there are products you can put under to mask your pores, but it was just getting to be too much work for me. I like it simple.

A few months ago I came across a sample of Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream so I gave it a try and it got me interested. I liked that it evened out my skin tone, but not to the point where I had to add blush. I did some research and started taking notes, but I really didn’t know where to start. There are just so many.

I was at Shoppers one day and asked the beauty technician if she recommended any. She pointed me to Stila, they had just come out with their Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm. It was $50. I didn’t buy it then, but I did at a later date. I used it for about 4 weeks and I’m currently working on a review – coming soon. 🙂

I also found out that you can get some samples on eBay so I ordered a few. I was only able to find samples for one of the brands I wanted to try: Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream All Day Strong (order not arrived yet). For the other ones that I wanted, the full size bottles were just $10 – including shipping – so I bought them anyway. Those are Skin Food Peach Sake Pore BB Cream and Skin79 Intense Classic Balm.

I also got a few samples with my orders so I’ll be giving those a try as well (Skin79 Super BB Cream, TonyMoly Expert Tripple BB Cream, TonyMoly Tomatox, ElishaCoy Skin Repairing Snail Cream).

I will do a review of the products as I try them and a comparison once I’ve tried them all.

Do you wear a BB cream? What are your beauty routine must-haves?

– Chantal 🙂
