Hi readers!
Since Valentine’s Day is only a few weeks away I decided to start doing some lovey-dovey nail art.
I always start with a coat of OPI Nail Envy, and for this design I followed with 2 coats of Sinful Colors “Black on Black”, stamped with the Konad m3 plate and Orly “Rose Radiance”, added a coat of China Glaze “Fairy Dust”, and finished it off with GOSH matt effect top coat.
Before I stamped my nails I did some trials on a Ziploc bag with different pinks to see which one would work best. I first put a nice wide coat of black then stamped on it with various pinks that I have (China Glaze “Shocking Pink”, CG “Pink Voltage”, Joe Fresh “Pink”, and Orly “Rose Radiance”) and the winner was Orly. The other pinks were too sheer to stamp on black.
I didn’t know how it would turn out, but I’m quite happy with the end result.

It's so hard to find the polishes that are good for stamping! I've even found a few flops with Konad stamping polishes that aren't opaque enough! These Valentines nails are super cute, glad that Orly had a winner for you. 😀

I didn't think about it when I got the idea for these nails, but I don't think many colours would work well to stamp on black. Frosted polishes are definitely the way to go for this.
