Happy Friday everyone!
I hope you all had a good week. I was on training for PL/SQL all week. There was LOTS of information crammed in those 5 days and now my brain is mush. Any other tech geeks out there? 😛 And now it’s the weekend, YAY! I’m really excited because I’m going to a Halloween party tomorrow night. I LOVE Halloween parties and dressing up! You can expect a post with my costume sometime next week. 🙂
Alright, onto the subject… this week is week 3 of the Busy Girl Nails Fall Nail Art Challenge and this week’s theme is oxblood. I don’t have polishes that quite fall into this colour range, although when I picked up my bottle of Skinfood “Black Cherry” I thought the colour looked like a dark oxblood. So that’s what I used as my base, but it turned out darker than I expected. So we’ll just say is a really really dark oxblood. 🙂 As for the nail art, I was really at a loss this week. I really had no clue what to do, so I decided to try my The Face Shop “Nail Stickers” and this is the result.
Here are the products I used:
- OPI “Nail Envy” as base coat (not shown)
- Skinfood “Black Cherry” x2 coats
- The Face Shop “Nail Stickers”
- Butter London “Hardwear P.D. Quick Top Coat” x1 coat (not shown)
Adding the top coat kind of cracked the silver foil on the butterflies, but you can only really see it up close (like in these pictures). In the end I really liked the result.
And that was my simple nail art for this week’s challenge.
What is your go-to when you can’t think of anything to do?
– Chantal 🙂
