Alba Botanica Natural Hawaiian Facial Cleanser – Review

Hey everyone,

Today’s post is about a product I currently use and it’s Alba Botanica Natural Hawaiian Facial Cleanser with pore purifying pineapple enzyme.

I’ve tried some body lotions from Alba Botanica before and both that I tried smelled wonderful and worked great so I thought I’d give this facial cleanser a try. It always helps when you’ve tried other products from a brand and loved them. Although this could be misleading at times so let’s see how the soap worked out…

Awaken your a-glow-ha.
Say hello to a renewed and radiant complexion with this fresh-faced cleanser. Pore-refining pineapple and skin-brightening papaya enzymes wash away impurities, make-up and dullness. Aloe, hibiscus and passion flower provide much needed R&R to soothe and balance. It’s total tropical radiance. Hypo-allergenic.

100% Vegetarian. No: Animal Testing, Artificial Colors, Parabens, Phthalates, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Myreth Sulfate

The bottle is a pump bottle that contains 237 mL and one pump gives enough product for a good wash.

I have to admit that the scent of this cleanser threw me off at first. I find it’s a citrus-y scent, but in a kitchen cleaner kind of smell. I guess I’m just used to having citrus scents in room cleaning products as opposed to a face cleanser. But not to worry, it doesn’t smell chemically or anything like that, it’s just the habit of where I usually smell this. Now I quite enjoy the smell and find it refreshing in the morning.

The soap itself has a very faint yellow tint, but you can barely see it in my hand so it’s really really faint.

As for the cleaning aspect, it works great! I like that I can use it in my morning shower and it does not dry out my face. It’s gentle and effective.

Sometimes at night I’m just lazy and don’t want to take out my Clarisonic so I just use this soap by itself and it takes all of the makeup and dirt away with only one pump of product.

And when I do use it with my Clarisonic I once again only use one pump of product and the brush brings it into this great lather that cleanses my entire face.

Bottom Line

I love this soap! It works great for my skin without drying it out, and I love the scent now and find it invigorating in the morning. And at night I just find it refreshing.

I picked this up at Loblaws for $10.

I know this product can be found in many drugstores, grocery stores, Walmart, etc.

Repurchase? I already did!

Side note: if you love sweet scents you have to try their Natural Hawaiian Body Cream with kukui nut. It smells like frosting, no joke!

Have you tried Alba Botanica products?
